Genuine question: on flaw questions, when seeing a conditional statement, is it safe to assume the answer will always involve the conditional? Everytime I predict the flaw when I see a conditional it tends to be the right answer.

@CarolineKaplan I predicted the answer right away, but I would take what I say with a grain of salt. Whenever there's a conditional statement in a flaw type question (maximum total utility is assured only in a pure free market economy), the correct AC is usually regarding something with that conditional.

Is it just me or was this incredibly difficult lol. Like D makes sense, but I felt like all of these ACs could have weakened.

Lowkey a math question. Almost half of the residents = not quite 50%. And obviously, 52% > 50%

PRO TIP: for flaw questions, pay very close attention to ACs regarding sufficiency/necessity ... I'm not saying it's always going to be the answer, but pay close attention.

@SMRegalado regardless, the question stem says “if true” , which means we have to take each answer choice to be true

@Catpop I agree. Luckily this one was easy. A strategy is to just use variables and translate the stim in your head (or on paper if u have time). It makes the argument clearer.

@BekimBruka was thinking the exact same thing. That's why I was between D and E. D seems like more of a SA question

I chose D for the wrong reason lol. It's the only AC concerned with something that we don't know to be true...

Difference between beauty and truth in art. Author says "if there were no difference, the most realistic = the best". This implies that the author is saying that the most beautiful is the best.

not a very hard question, just full of so much wording. basically just saying that representation is a context-dependent property in art, and there is no criteria for determining whether something that contains a context-dependent property; therefore, there's no criteria for determining whether or not something is art. Obviously, this isn't true.

@Super_Cookie Govt by referendum diminishes the welfare of society. Premise says that concentrated political power = more public funding. public funding = allows large scale projects to get done.
