Chose E but my reasoning was different from the explanation. Paragraph 2 says "principles of revolutionary realism had insisted that artists choose public, monumental, and universal subjects." whereas Native Soil focused on nostalgia for the peasant society and life in the face of modernization. I inferred this to be the antithesis of what revolutionary realism wanted (modernization vs past). Probably coming from a post-communist country also helped with this ahah

Still do not understand why the assumption is not:

not attract -> not best qualify + now lowest price but vice versa.

Aren't we supposed to go Premise -> Conclusion and not Conclusion -> Premise?
