For me, perhaps silly, but I changed it to most people who are blonde are swedish, but most people who are swedish are not blonde. then i was like oh yeah bc theres theres lots of swedish people who aren't blonde bc theres probs lots more of them!

How do you guys decide when to think about these in formal logic vs not? i wasted so much time diagramming and then see that the analysis just states it in common sentence form like "unfavorable consequence"

I was between A and C and chose C because it was slightly weaker. A was too strong to be necessary.

it feels like the sentence about birds, fish, and squirrels is providing support for the last sentence, which is why I thought the last sentence was the conclusion.

Biggest takeaway for me on this is that I need to be better at thinking ahead of what the answer should be so that I don't fall into other "good" sounding answers, but answers that don't actually get at the flaw of the argument. If I had thought more about how the main flaw is the correlation causation, I would not have been as tempted by answer choice B, because it doesn't really get at that correlation causation flaw.

I swear, every time I start a video JY says "this was a tough question". However I guess that means I'm only missing tough questions?? silver lining???

@JulienHajenius I don't watch it if I easily understand why I got a question wrong after just looking at what the correct answer was + the short lightbulb explanation. Most of the time, that doesn't feel like enough and I end up wanting to know the reasoning that got to the right answer so I watch the video and/or go through these discussions.

I'm not 100% sure if this is corret way to daigram, so someone tell me if I'm wrong, but I found it MUCH easier to think about this one with a venn diagram. Then it's easier to see that A can't be true, because there may be some monstrous beasts movies that don't describe violations of laws of nature. Please tell me if you agree or disagree!

JD spends too much time on answers that are not popular and too little time on answers that ARE popular. He spends almost two minutes on A which says is 0% popular, so that's kind of a waste of time! and B is 26% popular and he spends less than half the time explaining that answer! Please break down what people are most struggling with.

@JohnDemmler I had the same problem with this and it took me a while to come around here, but I think it boils down to the question asking for "MOST helps" so it doesn't have to be perfect or "must be true". I guess you could say that answer D, if it were true, would most strongly support their argument, even though it isn't a perfect principle to match up. Let me know if others disagree!
