🙃 Confused

retaking the LSAT in October

hello everyone!

I'm taking the LSAT this Saturday 8/8, and I just registered to take it again in October. I decided to register for another one because my prep scores are not where I'd want them to be.

I went from really understanding the foundational concepts in the beginning of my study journey and doing well in LR, to eventually feeling overwhelmed with everything I learned and finding myself stalling during questions. I would get all questions that are difficulty level 1-3 correct, and miss level 4 questions. Then eventually, I found myself randomly missing even the most simple questions because I would overcomplicate both the stimulus and question.

I'm planning on going into the August exam and give it my all, but my new plan immediately after is preparing myself for the October test. My undergrad GPA is a 3.2 from UCLA, not the best, and so I'm really depending on my lsat score to be a 170 and above for both scholarship purposes and overall choices.

can anyone give me some advice on what to focus on from here. do I go back to foundations for a while, should I focus on drilling and reviewing wrong answer choices, little bit of both? I just don't want to waste time again and I want to ensure my study method is strong. any tips or methods that have worked for you guys would be really useful for me. also I'm curious to know how often you all study...I work 8-5 mon-friday, so I'm not sure if that schedule is getting in my way more than I think.

and if you're in the same boat with any of this, I'd love to hear your experience as well.

thank you!

negative correlation: A goes up, B goes down. A goes down, B goes up

more of one = less of the other

@hannahhjh same, it's hard for me to translate to lawgic then back to english quick enough to meet the time limits for questions. the equation aspect helped in the earlier lessons but as they're getting more complicated, the symbols are confusing me more.

@AaronMiller2003 make sure to write things in your own words, it helps you retain information
