Took the the test 3 times. twice when I wasn't ready and the 3rd time I didn't break 170.

Those of you reading this don't take until you are ready or else you will end up like me.

Anyways is there any material about advice tips etc. I know the basic stuff (3 times 2 year period etc.) so yeah any help of information would be great! thanks fam.

Well kind of. There are various schools of thought for RC and it sounds like you are in the first stages of creating your own. I will mention a few things that I think are very important to help you out.

1. You don't want to get caught day dreaming. You MUST manufacture interest that way you don't glaze over things you really have no interest in. This is important because you must understand when you don't truly understand something or when you just are being lazy.

2. The test writers put every single word in the passage for a reason. Now the key here is to understand that this does not mean you need it to answer the questions. Many times they strategically place sentences in places where it baits you to waste time reading it over and over again.

3. You 100% CANNOT waste time reading something over and over again because the reality is you might not even be asked about it.

TL/DR You need to be able to do 2 things when reading a passage. First, You need to be able to know where everything is so you can refer back to it without wasting time. Second, You need to understand the structure and relationship of the passage to answer MP/Author Q's/ etc type questions.

What is your favorite LSAT Question and why?

Mine is for sure PT69.S1.Q14

The test writers really outdid themselves with this one. For some reason this concept is just really interesting to me (the flaw). Perhaps how properties of two things when taken independent of each other can be different when you combine them together.

This relationship is easy to see when you have different color paint etc but in LSAT world I found it super interesting.

Spent 30 minutes trying to understand what was wrong yet still could not understand the flaw until I looked.

I think your best bet is to get a divers watch with a rotating bezel. This way you can still use it after your LSAT days are over and I feel it is the quickest way to reset in-between sections.

SOB. I knew I had seen something close to it.

TBH I'm not even mad you can only remember so much on test day. Damn that sucks though. Someone out there has done this game and recalled it today on the test and was rewarded for their hard work. Mad props if that's you.

This game has 5 questions and a target time of ~10 minutes so with two additional questions we could be in 12+ target time territory. Too soon to say though as I think something was hidden that made this game easy. Excited to see how to go about solving it

Ah im pissed though...damn

Ahhh yeah that chess question. Was the only one I can remember that I had to consider two choices but felt really good when I pulled out my tools lol. What a stupid question though those two things in a relationship literally makes no fucking sense in the real world.

It was hard to understand because it was so stupid and not realistic. Int eh 1960's the question may have worked. not today though

@61967 I combined them but even so nothing was placed. It was only relative in that they were floating and closed off some possibilities. You could eliminate quickly a few choices for each question but to get the right answer choice would take some serious work.

That's how I remember it at least.

I think a sequencing chart might be in order for this game. Where you could header the numbers and play with the pieces based on what could possible go in that column.

The real problem was that I either missed or it never stated if you could have two things happen at once. I had to have missed the rule or wording that told you it had to be one at a time. From how I looked at the game two things at once was a possibility and really upped the difficulty.

@1633 yeah I think the passages weren't bad but the questions. I just remember on several being able to support multiple answer choices from the text. So much so I would point to the support for each choice and had to compare it.

Still trying to figure out that Computer Game I swear I've seen it before but it may have been a game not written by LSAC.

Dang that sucks on the "mis understand word question" I read it and read it and came back and read it some more and couldn't figure it out.

My fear for this test was LR was very easy and i'm worried that they might have done a really good job with wrong answer choices.

You know when you are doing games and you have all sub game-boards so you can mechanically go down the list and move right on? That was LR all three sections to a TEE. Never felt like this before but..yeah...idk.

Game 3 Sub-boards is the way to go for sure but you couldn't allow yourself to solve them all out. Had to roll with them because I don't think you could understand how the rules operate in your head. Also first time I have ever had a problem confusing rules between games and games 2 and 3 had me questioning the rules.

Hope you guys talk about the RC difficulty because I couldn't tell. Questions felt super fucking hard while passages were quite easy. idk.

On a lighter note, what a joke on that first game still took me 8 minutes bahahahaha. Might be the first ever 3 minute game. @gojjlee291 this game should take you 30 seconds. srs

If anything is not allowed please tell me or edit it!

Computer virus might go down as one of the hardest games.

Think Zephyr airlines but computer viruses. I fathom there is a very easy way to expose this game but in 9 minutes I couldn't figure it out. I had to have missed something. after all that studying just couldn't get it to click damn.

I can't talk more about it but check out zephyr. Also a water pipes game I thought had the same principals but I can't recall it. I'll look around.

When pieces can repeat almost always use the chart. I'm convinced they aren't on every test because the chart exposes them(chart games).

Forgot to add that the term "particular film" from the stimulus makes this question 100% immune from answer choice "E". Really though the wrong answers here are all wrong because they aren't answer choice "C". Tough tough miss

Went with 'E' on the PT and am surprised how quickly you got rid of it. After my read of the stimulus I questioned how comparable Sartore was to Kelly. Maybe Kelly only reviews movies that are low budget sundance films and Sartore only reviews 500billion dollar production films. If kelly and Sartore both reviewed the same movies then perhaps Kelly would blow Sartore out of the water!

Answer choice 'E' is like: "yo they both review the same movies, Kelly is just a piece of shit reviewer". This combats the flaw (you can't compare two things that aren't truly comparable) because with E they both review the same movies so what I just said in the stimulus is even stronger now.

That isn't what's going on though. your explanation is spot on and I saw that as well in my BR. Once I hit this area I expect harder questions thus overthink one from time to time.

God F$#% D!@#!@ motherF#$@$%

Alright i'm all good now haha.

100% do without any hesitation or question.

"You are saving a Horse that could help you win a championship for a race you might not ever run." = your line of thinking.

That doesn't make any sense. I used to think like that wish I could go back and slap myself in my face. lol but yeah you want to be as prepared as possible when you sit for any take. Saving material isn't helping you do that at all.
