Just what I needed to see. Hopefully this week is the last week I sign on into 7Sage for LSAT prep.

Got this wrong for not capitalizing on the conditional logic going on.

AS and HDC --> great works of art

Contra: /GWA --> /AS or /HDC

Conclusion: GWA-->Rare

So our linkage NEEDS to be AS and HDC-->RARE for this to work.

The argument introduces a concept of rarity that NEEDS to be accounted for in this relationship for it to be true. That's only answered in B. It doens't matter if the individual condition is rare, one artist can create a ton of great works of art, it matters that the COMBO of the two is rare.

Honestly wish I was in your position. April would be good to get a head start so you don't have to worry about studying for it while working on apps. If need be you could take in June or September, but hopefully you would have smashed the 168 barrier by then. All the best! Your diagnostic to goal score is def achievable in your timeline!

Depending on your time line, I think it's best to do the most recent ones (140-150) because they give a good idea as to what your LSAT may look/sound like when you take it. That being said, I found that 130s in the PT were really helpful as they were not too difficult on jargon wise and offered really good examples of question types that were clear and teachable. A lot my question reviews/in depth dissection of question types came from the 130s. If you want to challenge yourself, the early PTs from 100-110s, seem to be a bit harder because the language, writing style, and subject matter is older and feels a bit outdated.

Best of luck!

My intuition says you're not cooked because there's no way to say exactly how the admissions officer at any school you're applying to will use your essay in tandem with your application. They may focus on the substance v.s. execution and disregard typos altogether. My advice is to accept the flaws and work towards other areas of your application that you can control. Best of luck to you in this cycle!

@DeclanSander My thinking is that the week is a condition that guarantees the antibiotics, so it has to be a sufficient condition. It can't be I --> A + W. Like JY said, "If someone presents with no antibodies, you cannot conclude that he isn't infected. Perhaps he was only infected yesterday. Maybe he wasn't infected or maybe it hasn't been a week yet."

@LSAT170 You must eat either the steak or the cod, but not both.

[Eat steak-->/Eat cod]

[Eat Cod-->/Eat steak]

@Joshua794 I think your explanation would be perfect had the stimulus been. "Cruise ships make unscheduled stops IF the necessities of safety demand that such course of action is prudent."

Then:

safety demands --> unscheduled stop. and /unscheduled stop --> /safety demands

This doesn't mean that the safety demands are the ONLY time they make unscheduled stops. There could be stops due to fuel, sailor error, tourism —you name it. The original stimulus stipulates that the ONLY reason there could be a stop is because of safety demands, so we know that if:

unscheduled stop --> there MUST have been safety demands

/safety demands --> there will be no unscheduled stop

In my head, I use the mantra "Only if it is Sunday will I buy coffee" for stuff with "only." If you buy coffee, it MUST be Sunday. (C-->S). But just because it's Sunday doesn't mean you have to buy coffee. (Invalid: S-->C).

@priscillasoliz The "only" is like an auto indicator for whatever following being on the right of the arrow. Sometimes in my head, when I see "only" I think anything that ISN'T in the group can't do the next thing (the sufficient condition), which gives you the contrapositive first.

anything that ain't italian plumbers: [/IP -->/FRS]

actual condition: [FRS-->IP]

Los Angeles LSAT Study Group

Hi all,

I'm taking the LSAT Jan 26 after bombing it this Oct.... I'm looking to form a group to study with in-person or virtually (PST). If enough people respond to this, I can create a Discord server or group chat (Enough people respond --> Create Discord server or group chat).

I'm based in the Valley, but can commute to anywhere that would be easiest for everyone.

Hope to hear from y'all and wishing the best of luck to everyone!
