Will a referenced section/word/sentence in a question for the RC section still pop up as highlighted on the passage?

I understand E but why is D wrong? The professor explains that emiting intense light and rising are signs of a reaction caused by plasma, but he doesn't explain why plasma should cause intense light. He then uses this to posit that because the reactions he observed bad dull light, Ball lightning cannot be caused by plasma.
shouldnt it be other way around? If passage a is saying that markets reflect reliable, existent information, isnt that what a thermometer does? Accurately measure? Whereas a thermostat sets the temperature in the same way public opinion may "artificially" affect market data
