@

Are you able to delete practice sets you create? I was playing around with it just to get a feel and now I can't seem to delete these sets.

I think you need to evaluate really critically how hard you've really been working to prep, and if there are additional steps you can take if you give yourself more time. Plenty of people study "on and off" for long periods of time but really aren't changing anything that they do between tests. To get a different result, you need different preparation. Most often I'd say that the sheer volume of sustained prep needs to improve, but there could be other things. I'd only give up if you really felt that you'd done all you can, which it sounds like maybe you haven't. True score increases require sustained practice, except for maybe LG, IMO.

Ditto. I too have been on-and-off for several years (5 i think at this point). I did take a 3 year "break" when i decided to work in politics. But I recently left my job and dedicated myself to this exam. And it's been a lot of work and disappointment. But i'm now in the very high 150s- low 160s. And this after having cold diagnosed in the 130s (can't remember exactly).

I try to visualize in my mind what i'm reading. This is especially helpful for me in RC when I read a passage with unfamiliar subject matter. The Eileen Gray is a good example of me visualizing the work that she did (PT 79, #2).

Ok. Good to know. All of my campaigns were paid. Would you still only include post college?

All happened after I graduated. Further while I volunteered on several campaigns, none were consistent in the sense that I only volunteered on specific dates such as the week before election or when absentee ballots went out. Thus why I wouldn’t put on my resume except for the paid position.

We’re in similar boats. I was a paid campaign staffer for one election cycle but volunteer in others. All post college. Only putting my paid position.

@ yeah that heckling comedian question had me stumped, even though i got it down to what will probably be the two most popular answers for that question.

From FAQ on LSAC's website:

"As a July test taker, if I choose to cancel my score, will I be able to take the September LSAT?

"The deadline for registering for the September LSAT is August 1, 2019. Therefore, unless you already registered for the September test before seeing your July test score, you will not be able to register for the September LSAT. The next LSAT is in October 2019, and the registration deadline is September 10."

from this, it is still unclear whether you can use the freebie on the sept test or not. I'm gonna get in touch with LSAC next week to clear this up. Will report back.

July LSAT Score Release Date

Just got an email from LSAC announcing July score release date:

"Because the July test is being offered in two different formats, it will take longer than normal for test takers to receive their scores. When introducing a new mode of test delivery, testing companies are required to do in-depth research on the two modes, in this case tablets and paper booklets. This is to ensure the validity and reliability of the test scores. As a result of this process, July test takers will receive their scores on Wednesday, August 28, 2019. We anticipate the ability to report scores faster with future tests."

@ are you saying they were no more harder than other tests?

I’ve also done all 90+ games section and there have definitely been harder sections (PT B and C, for example) but the trend in recent years has been for pretty standard games without anything too difficult (minus the handful of misc games). Today felt like stuff from the 90s. That’s why I think folks, like myself, were really thrown off.

I'm saying this set of logic games from today is the hardest I've ever played and I've played all of them (though I don't think I've done PT B and C). I was just curious if anyone here actually had an easy time. I don't think I've ever seen a single LSAT section so heavily derided as this one.

Did ANYONE reading this feel like the logic games section was normal? Obviously the people posting in this thread are more inclined to write about how hard it was, so I'm trying to get a better idea.

For my part, I've done all 87 preptests and I've maybe done one AR section that was anywhere near that hard.

Any thoughts on which PT had as difficult of an AR section? I'm not sure I've come across any

From a quick look at my notes, the AR sections from preptests 41 and 34 were quite challenging, though both of those were taken before my AR skills improved dramatically.

Ah got you. This wasn’t the most difficult, but it’s definetly up there. As I said a really difficult AR like this one hasn’t been seen in recent years. Thus why people were caught off guard.

While I found the LG section incredibly difficult and echo what folks on here are saying, I believe there was a key inference that really opened up the flower game and made it more manageable than it appeared on the surface. But, yes, still brutal and it sucked up my time, leaving very little for the last game.

What is an AR?

Analytical Reasoning aka logic games.

So the trick here was in the question stem - the arragement of artifacts wasn't a straight line, but a circle.

edit i meant stimulus

Agree. i also was tripped up by this question until i realized this.

welp! as others have noted, the LG was ridiculously hard. And unfortunately for me, it came as my second section. It practically demoralized me for RC, which also unfortunately for me, came as my last section. I felt the RC readings themselves were not hard, but because LG screwed me it was tough to concentrate. The LR was not bad.

I'd be surprised if 7sage, or anyone else, rates any of the games as 1-star. They went old-school for these games. LG is consistently my strongest section, but not today.

Some of them have very light writing on them that is easily erasable.

All items free, you just have to pay shipping. Or if you're in LA area, I can meet up with you.

Login page layout

My login page layout on my laptop looks like the app version in that it displays everything in one continuous column instead of the split screen where top forum discussions, preptest data, etc. appear on the right and course type on the left. Tried to reset on settings to no luck.

Is this now default?

i can provide screenshots if not clear. Thanks!

My Sept. score thoughts

Well got my score and indeed it confirms that LG wrecked everything. But looking at the score in the most favorable light, some thoughts emerge. Looking at my performance in the other sections, I scored at about my PT average for those sections. And my performance on those sections was hampered by my lack of focus due to games (Games was my section 2).

So while I didn’t get the score I wanted, nevertheless I’m feeling good about my chances in Nov.

So sept fam keep ya head up!

@

Is it still the case that the e-docs expire when account expires? Further, does access to the explanations that were purchased also expire?

On the last few PT's i've taken, all in the high 70s, i've noticed that i'm getting more of the harder questions right and some pretty easy (sometimes completely obvious) questions wrong. Just goes to show that we can't take the easier questions for granted.

I'd figure this would be something to laugh about!

I included some bills, such as utility and car payment bills as well as indicating my monthly rent. I also attached proof indicating what my current earnings are to show that I’m either breaking even every month or taking a small loss.

I just got my fee waiver approved. Thought i'd share some insight. Basically, a detailed letter followed by documented support. LOTS of documents. I pretty much dropped a ton of documents to backup what I wrote in my letter.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
