Hey 7Sagers,

Here's the official September 2019 LSAT Discussion Thread.

**Please keep all discussions of the September 2019 LSAT here!**(/red)

Rules:

You can identify experimental sections. 🙆‍♀️

You can say things such as the following:

  • I had two LGs! Was the LG with "flowers" real or experimental?
  • I had two RCs! Was the section that starts with the honeybee passage real?
  • I had three LRs! Does anyone know if the first LR section with the goose question is real?”
  • You can't discuss specific questions. 🙅‍♂️

You CANNOT say things such as the following:

  • Hey, the 3rd LG was sequencing and the last one was In/Out, right?” (Don't mention the game type)
  • The last question in the first LR section was a lawgic heavy MBT! Was the answer (B)?” (Don't mention the question type or ask what the answer was)
  • What was the answer for the last question of RC? I think it was an inference question? Was the answer (C)?” (Don't mention the question type or ask what the answer was)

Anyone else think the Logic Games section was the hardest one they've ever seen? I consistently get -3/-4 on LG and I only answered 11 questions on this one and guessed on the rest.

That LG section was brutal. I've never seen anything like the flowers game.

Wow. LG. First two games we’re uncharacteristically time consuming so bu game 3 i was flustered. Misread a rule in the flower game and well... seems like they finally broke the trend with this one. Rest of the test was very normal.

Gosh, 12 hours later and I still want to cry.

I’ve been studying for two years... worked my ass off while working full time to improve significantly in RC and LR, only for all those improvements to be masked by a completely shit LG section. I feel like all my grind was for nothing...

LG, you were supposed to stick with me through it all. It was love at first sight for us— we always had that chemistry. UNTIL TODAY  You were supposed to be my ride or die. But you abandoned me when I needed you most. I feel so betrayed. How could this happen?!

Yes, it’s 9pm and I’m three glasses of wine deep, but I can’t be the only one who feels so heartbroken by this LSAT (/3(/p)

I consistently get -0 or -1 on Logic Games and that section was the most brutal I’ve ever seen.

I’m not even sure the Flower one had enough restrictions.

Can confirm. The (Cat/Dog), (Flowers) and (7 display circular) LG section was the hardest I have ever taken. I walked out after this section. There is only supposed to be one crazy game per newer LSAT and this one felt like there were 2.5....

      Cancelling score and retaking.

Hardest LG section I’ve ever done and I must have done at least 50 LG sections total in my studying. I usually score -1/-3. This time, I think I bombed two of the games, and the other two I’m sure I didn’t get all right. I don’t even know what to do, most likely going to cancel.

Same! I would consecutively get 1 wrong on each practice and I left 3 blank because I ran out of time. I had two LG sections and I finished the other one with a min left. I assumed the hard one was the experimental but after reading these comments im shook.

I heard that the LG section with the animals (kittens etc. I think) was real. Can others confirm this?

I feel this so hard. I have also been in this for 2+ years. Scored 165 in Sept 2017, hit it hard studying earlier this year, PTing comfortably and regularly in the low to mid-170s, all destroyed by an effing LG section. It was my first section, to top it off. At best I probably scored a few points higher than my 2017 take. My gpa is not strong so I really needed to apply in October with a 17x score. I’m just so irrationally angry and bummed about it. Having such a hard time getting in the mindset of studying for the November take. #solidarity

What were they thinking about administering a test with crazy hard LG while they are still figuring out the tablet situation? Wtf was with those games?

If adapting to the new digital format isn’t intimidating enough, they give us this LG. Literally wtf!

Wow that LG was brutal. Usually get -0/-2 on games. I probably missed 12. LR was oddly easy, RC was normal. Hopefully the curve reflects that games section.

for people with only 1 RC section, did you read about "The Great Zimbabwe"?

Four difficult games. I don't know how it's possible for anyone to be able to finish within the time limit.

That LG was absurd. Every game had its unique component to trip people. Holy shit.

I honestly wanted to walk out after doing the LG section. I lost all drive or motivation to do the rest of the test because I completely bombed LG. It seemed unusually difficult for the first two games and definitely experimental. Normally I can get three games in, but I barely did the first and by the second game I almost broke down in tears.

So if we all flunked the LG section do we think they'll be generous with the curve?

    • Saturday, Sep 21, 2019

@oliviacallan369 yes I believe that was real. That section was brutal. Anyone else feel similar???

welp! as others have noted, the LG was ridiculously hard. And unfortunately for me, it came as my second section. It practically demoralized me for RC, which also unfortunately for me, came as my last section. I felt the RC readings themselves were not hard, but because LG screwed me it was tough to concentrate. The LR was not bad.

I'd be surprised if 7sage, or anyone else, rates any of the games as 1-star. They went old-school for these games. LG is consistently my strongest section, but not today.

Did anyone have an LR question about athletic programs being influenced by environmental factors like family life?

I actually didn't think the flowers was that bad. The circle on the other hand...
