I was stuck on this at first but think I understand now why C is correct.
A- So what? This has nothing to do with our argument, who cares if they can't imagine a wide variety as long as they can imagine sheep?
B- Also so what? Completely irrelevant
C- The NA must be true for the argument to hold. In this text, the argument is that counting sheep excludes sleep-preventing thoughts. For this to be true, thoughts of sheep mustn't keep a person awake.
D- This is a Sufficient assumption. In a sufficient assumption, whenever A is true, B must be true. In this case, A is thoughts of sheep, and B is sleep happening when these thoughts arise. So, if a person passes out the second they think of a sheep, thinking of sheep must occur for them to be sleeping. Sleeping is a necessary condition, but this person can still be sleeping without thinking of sheep, just not thinking of sheep without sleeping. So, this argument doesn't have to be true.
E- Also so what, dreams have nothing to do with this.
* if my reasoning is wrong someone pls let me know!
did this really take yall only 30 minutes or am I just stupid

To weaken the manager's hypothesis I might say that in City X, where every one of these restaurants is located, this one chain is the only place to eat in the city that didn't raise their prices due to inflation. So, this place just has cheaper food, not more desirable food.
Hi! Im also trying to establish an early morning routine and need some help keeping myself accountable! Im down for this as well!
I originally put E and am now trying to logic out why D is correct and the others are wrong.
A- This is completely false. The main argument of this text is that having an intuitive grasp of everyday emotions is necessary for a novelist to become great. If you are a great artist, then you have an intuitive grasp of emotions. Impartiality prevents this.
B- This is what you learn in school, but is not enough to become great, as stated in the first sentence.
C- Argument states that being an academic and therefore only observing impartially precludes being an academic, so this doesn't make sense.
D- This is the NA right here! Immersion in everyday life is required to have a grasp of emotions, and having a grasp is intuitive to becoming a great novelist
E- While we do know this to be true, the point of the question isn't about novelist's knowledge, but their GRASP on emotions that can lead to greatness.
