Hi, for those you who have scored 170 and over on the LSAT, do you recommend doing untimed drills instead of timed drills when you’re in the core curriculum? I just started learning about logic in the curriculum, but I would do timed drills with the time and a half accommodations and get 2-3 questions wrong. Though I would get more correct once I did blind review, and I did that for every set, and wrote down why I got each question wrong and why the right answer was correct. I would appreciate any help!

I think the motivation breaks are great and reinforce concepts. But I am a bit iffy about seeing them after extracurricular videos. That makes it feel like back-to-back breaks. Lastly, I liked all the advice except the highlighting. That might seem good while practicing, but I might overthink it on the actual test. #feedback
Can someone elaborate on what J.Y. means when he maps out this question? #feedback
Found this much more helpful than the previous lesson. It was also good to not see someone use Grammarly
I got this question correct, but my approach was that A and E had "most" in the conclusion, and the premise in A did not sound similar to the one in the stimulus. Was that the correct strategy for getting it right? #feedback
Hi, I’m working on the 12 LR Drilling sections for MSS questions, and I could use some tips for Blind Review. A lot of what I have listened to makes me as if Blind Reviewing would be more effective when doing PTs. But what i’ve been doing so far is watching the explanation videos for questions I get wrong and then writing down why I get them wrong and why the right answer is right. But I still seem to miss a couple questions during each drill. Any tips?
Hi all,
I never thought I would be asking about this on the 7Sage forum, but I figured I would since you all want to go to law school. Are there any jobs that require a college degree but no professional experience? Ideally those that relate to legal work. Also, if you all have any suggestions on where to look I would appreciate any direction.
Okay, sounds good! Great work on the new LR curriculum. I think the text under the videos has been very helpful.
Thanks for the response! I will definitely do that. I’m about to finish the LR CC V2. How come the RC one is shorter? Sorry if this has already been answered. Maybe I’m wrong, but I only saw a section for science.
Hi, can anyone elaborate on the math that J.Y. does in this problem in the explanation video? I’m still confused on how he got 200 for one aspect of it.
Admin Note: Edited title. Please use the format: "PT#.S#.Q# - brief description of the question."
Hi,
I completed a 5-question drill set yesterday and was going to blind review the questions today, but the results disappeared so I had to redo it. Though the results stayed after I pressed on a pin option. Is that why the results from yesterday did not save? Lastly, is there a way I can access those questions again?
Is it okay if I finish the CC V2 for RC before June? Or do I wait until June to finish these additional lessons? Or do I watch them as I get ready to take the test (hopefully) sometime in the Fall?
Hi all,
I almost always take notes when going through the lessons in the core curriculum. When I finish it and it is time to focus on drills and Preptests, is there a way I can use those notes, especially from questions I got wrong?
Hi,
I know that receiving consulting can make a student seem privileged and maybe even negatively impact their application if it came down to them and a student who did not receive that service, but what about tutoring? Would an explanation for that be more plausible? I am thinking of receiving it because I tend to not be a bad test taker and I have been able to save money. I’m also a first-generation, low-income student.
I don’t have any advice, but I hope you get in! 💪🏽
Any tips on how to parse through the difficulty of the wording on the correct answer next time you do a question like this? #feedback
By numerous aquatic insects, does C mean there would be other types of insects that would eat the mosquitos so more of them survive? #feedback
So D is wrong because it frames Menkin's sentence as just a declarative statement? #feedback
Is answer choice E descriptively inaccurate because the number in the stimulus is 90 percent and not 100 percent? #feedback
Hi, I finished a 7Sage podcast from two months ago talking about the changes to the LSAT. I heard that there will be a new 7Sage platform at the end of January, so what does that mean if I am currently working in the core curriculum? Will there be a change? Also, there are many more LR questions than the two other sections. Is that intentional?
Hi,
Do any of you have tips for staying motivated with prepping after getting questions like the ones for the Weakening question drill sets in the Core Curriculum wrong? I always write down why the correct answer choice is right and why I got it wrong, but I keep missing the level four questions.
Eric
Can someone elaborate on why B is correct? #feedback
Mans called a 172 a “decent” lsat 🤣
On questions like this, would it be fair to eliminate an answer choice like C because overlooking a comparative is not the same as a flaw in the argument? I think that is what the written explanation says, but I wanted to make sure. #feedback
I think J.Y. said something along the lines of what I am about to say, but my logic for getting the right answer here is that the conclusion was too strong when it says, "These conditions could not lead to serious back pain in people," and the right says that actually it could apply to some other instances. #feedback
Can someone refer me back to the lesson where he talks about the causal chains? Also, just to clarify, A is wrong because the economist would still be right, and D is correct because it supports what the news people say? #feedback
Woah seeing J.Y. question the golden rule made me rethink my life
I did not expect the last couple of seconds of this lesson
Can someone elaborate on why answer choice B is correct for question 23? #feedback
Are causal chain events backward? Also, where can I learn more about them? #feedback
Maybe you have to change your study habits, but you can get there! I heard one approach to making a big leap is to focus more on accuracy and less on the score.
When I do my Wrong Answer Journals, I always ask: Why is answer choice (insert choice) correct? Why did I get it wrong?
Are those good alternative questions to the one 7Sage recommends? I also ask because I got used to asking those two questions.
Hi all, I thought that students still had access to the Wrong Answer Journal after taking a PT, but I do not see it. Can someone tell me where I can find it on here?
Do you Blind Review questions you didn’t have time to answer? Or just the ones you flagged?
Damn bro the audio quality in this video makes it feel like it is from the year of this LSAT question
Hi all,
I’m sorry about all the discussion topic posts! When you finish the CC, which PT you recommend starting with? I plan to take the LSAT post-Logic Games so would it have to be the first PT in the reorganized edition?
Hi all, it seems that posting on the discussion forum can be ineffective in terms of getting feedback, so i’ll try one more time: I’m working on the Valid and invalid argument forms part of the curriculum, and i’ve been struggling with the concepts but taking my time. Since I will be taking the test without LG, is it necessary for me to still put a big emphasis on it?
Hi all,
I haven’t received a response from 7Sage about my switch to the V2 version of the core curriculum, so I’ll share my thoughts here. I am a little over 64% done with the LR section in the V1 version. I wrote down a list of the question types I did on V1 and what I have left. So I clicked the “complete” option on the ones I did for V1 on V2, and that left me with 6 question types compared to 9. Do you think I went about that correctly?
Also, the foundations section for V2 has a lot more lessons than V1, but I was thinking of clicking the “complete” option for the foundations section and just come back to specific lessons for questions I get wrong. Is that a valid approach?
Also, does V2 use more recent questions? What happened to the problem sets and using problems from tests 1-35?
I would appreciate any help!
Is anyone else confused about why answer choice A is correct? The logic makes sense to me, but it seems like our mapping is talking about the artistic work. However, the answer choice talks about how much pleasure an artwork can produce. #feedback
