Could there ever be a possibility that the correct answer choice has the rule written in contrapositive form? Or are the answers truly always going to follow the general pattern from the stimulus?

@deborahjenicee which section of the notes? I'm not seeing a wrong answer journal pop up whenever I've been clicking on the notes section during the blind review

@hsuyt25 When thinking about some, it's easiest to visualize the two groups/subjects in a venn diagram. In this case, we have one circle for "people who participated in the cleanup" and another circle for "active in art people."

We know that some means that at least 1 person received this, and up to all people, but we can't be sure what that actual amount is. So, when you draw the venn diagram, you'll have an overlapping middle portion that will be of equal proportion from both groups (remember it's not the other quantifiers like most where this matters). That equal overlap from both of those circles means we can read the idea both ways (ie, manipulate where we place them relative to <-s->).

You wouldn't do "all" (so, participant -> active) because that's saying if you did participate, then you were active in the art circles. We know that isn't true since the prompt says they was "at least some" overlap.

@vanlol It doesn't really matter which part of the sentence ends up in the sufficient or necessary part of the breakdown solely because we're going to negate whichever one we classify as being necessary following Group 4 (remember: negate, necessary). So if we take your example of making "sale succeed" necessary, we'd need to negate it following Group 4's rules. We'd also have to negate "emotional connection" since it is negated in the sentence itself ("does not...emotionally connect").

Put that together and you have:

/emotionally connect -> /sale succeed
