Hey @ayeshaq54923,

I know it can be quite frustration when you have worked several months towards a goal and invested so much emotions and time. And then getting thrown off by a particular LG section/Game. It is daunting to see how much one game can throw off a score. However, instead of focusing on that, I have personally learned to follow the below steps in order to get through this issue.

If you are caught off guard by a question type, and you are not sure how to approach it, and you try to recall what you did in the past but are unable to pick anything up from your memory bank. You quickly change your thinking cap and wear your creativity cap on. How would you approach this in a normal word puzzle on a news paper. What facts do you have in front of you and what is the best way you can draw them out. So instead of trying to fit the question into a particular category or type. Just go ahead and try to fit into it with whatever comes natural to you.

Think about it for a min and if it doesn't come to you, skip it and move on. Come back to it, try your best and if you are not able to, then just flag it. That's the whole point of learning process. You take a note pad and note this question type and start evaluating.

Evaluate why you couldn't do it, is it something from the core that you need to sit with and internalize better or is it you are not experienced in this particular game time or difficulty level. I would use the question bank, or sometimes JY lists similar questions in the explanations below to practice on. Sit down for couple of days and fix this issue before moving on to anything else. Slowly start eliminating your weaknesses by evaluation, practice, elimination.

If it is a test anxiety and you have struggled with it in the past. I would suggest getting yourself evaluated by a professional and see if you can qualify for accommodations.

In Love with the Digital

So today I took the July 2019 LSAT and was hoping to have my final romance with the paper test but its literally out with the old, in with the new.

This was not my first time taking it digital, I have taken the testing version couple years back. And compared to the one they were testing, this was definitely an improvement. What did I love about it? https://classic.7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/11165

1- It was very smooth, and saved so much time because you can flag a question, eliminate it on the right side or highlight.

2- Easy to navigate from one question to another. You are on track on time because of built in timer, so bye bye all those LSAT watch industry.

3- The tablet was very responsive and you had underline, and three highlight choices which made RC so much more colorful and fun. I was able to highlight AO in one color Critic in another and it honestly isn't time consuming at all.

4- You have option to adjust the color, font, and the angle of the tablet (surface) as you like.

5- Scratch paper available for all sections, I remember when they were doing tests they only gave it for Games.

6- I had a fantastic time and honestly I am excited to retake it. (I took this one just for fun, since I can wipe out the score completely, July perks only)

So honestly guys, you are going to love it and don't be afraid of it at all! Here is my original review of it if you want more details. https://classic.7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/11165

Hey guys,

I have been doing the fool proofing for games 1-35 and wanted to share what I do to save those trees.

  • I made one copy of all the games.
  • Placed them in plastic sleeves. (https://goo.gl/7JuuvP)
  • Use dry erase markers. (https://goo.gl/ncSw4f)
  • Use this stategy. (https://goo.gl/u8aPQL)
  • I place two games in each sleeves (front and back). I do my drills like 45 mins as many as I can do. Note the time for each of them in the bottom corner. By the end of it. I erase the one that I need to redo and leave the ones I did good. This way you don't have to make 5 copies of each game. Just 1 copy and tadaaa!

I take the information and note it in a pdf sheet. This is a sample of the LG tracker. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L3TW5io8o7AMCoBDLvSFr8HupWJqYynq/view?usp=sharing

    Hope this helps!

Is there an answer sheet to games 1-35?

Is there a pdf sheet with answers to games from 1-35 (foolproofing) Instead of looking at each explanation, is there a way I can look at a sheet to see if I got the correct answer?

Someone who has taken the digital LSAT (got paid by LSAC to test it). I can say, its not scary at all. The best way to prep for taking it is to do the Khan Academy questions online as drills. If you have any specific questions regarding sections and stuff. Please feel free to ask.

For game section you do get paper and pencil. You do the game on paper, choose the answer and thats it. The paper you worked on is usually taken away before leaving and trashed.

For LR are we given paper/pencil?

    No.

Are you able to cross of answers or anything like that with a stylus? I've been doing a lot of drilling/PTs via PDF's without printing them off so I'm not too worried but I do like crossing out the wrong answers or making marks on my page.

    Nope.

Has anyone heard anything on when LSAC means to provide more info on the type of software they'll be using? I'm looking forward to playing around with it to get used to it (not looking forward having to buy a tablet for it though).

Its a microsoft windows software, nothing special or specific. Just like a kindle table where you can read, choose and move the next question. Anything you don't answer is a different color and is listed as number bubbles so you can always go back.

LSAC gave a link to show exactly what it looks like: https://familiar.lsac.org/

This happens to me, only when I'm taking a Timed Preptest. All of a sudden I am putting so much stress that my muscles tightens up. Stress has alot to do with it.

I took the digital LSAT. It is for some reason quicker to take however there is this dis-attached feeling from the test itself. They do give you scratch papers but you have to dispose it all before leaving the room. Also we had some technical issues on the tablets they gave us, so not sure how they are going to work with it - what if it malfunctions? What if it glitches, they need a tech person in each location.

For someone who has taken the digital test, I don't think this will stick. But at the same time, how long do we continue with this whole paper thing. I rather take the test and get my scores asap then do it on paper and get it 3 weeks later.

I decided at a young age to become an immigration lawyer. Seeing my father until this day yearning for legal status has driven me to help undocumented people as much as possible. We have spent thousands, been ripped off by attorneys, and have been through so much heartache that if he does not obtain legal status by the time I graduate law school, I'm going to represent him myself.
