I got this right because B was the best answer but I actually took a bit of time on this. Chad never explicitly says he thinks there are too many cats. He only says they are a nuisance. I feel like a logical jump like this on a more difficult question could lead me to the wrong answer. Am I missing something here? #help

got it right, but i took too long thinking about this easy question. I couldnt find anything that suggests that "law SHOULD be" anything. I assume this is because the QS says most closely conforms, and AC D does conform the most closely

Thanks for all responses and sorry for the late reply. I was recovering from the Jan LSAT a few days ago. With my timing on LR, I finish with about 8 mins to go back and go over questions I am unsure of. I'm considering The Loophole book as I've heard good things about it.

@ reading some of your comments on "moving on" quickly when I'm stuck between two answer choices.

I'm going to study lightly for the next few weeks to until I find out my score for my last LSAT. I hope I cracked 170!

JAN SCORE TOO LOW - July/June Retake Prep

I took the Jan LSAT and only got a 160 when I was consistently ptesting at 167 range. I'm fool proofed at LG. I am switching up my study methods to read The Loophole. Hopefully that will improve my LR.

I plan my study schedule, once I'm done with The Loophole, to be:

Monday: 2 LR /BR

Tuesday: Review /2 LG

Wednesday: 2 LC /BR

Thursday: Review /2 LG

Friday: Review question type specific

Saturday: Full PT and BR

Sunday: Break

What do you think about my approach? I am still aiming for 170+.

This was a good question to get wrong for me. After watching JYs video the answer seems pretty straightforward. The causal conclusion the argument expresses is about two completely different items compared to the premise. I need to be more diligent about reading the premises

C) this is a premise to support the conclusion

D) no, the only refuted solution is the colonization of other planets

Very interesting question and answers. I've seen LSAT writers use the same trick as they use here. If you read answer D after reading answer B, it influences you to choose answer D. This is because the LSAT writers are hoping you remember incorrectly answer B as a part of the question.

Summary:

Consider a discipline's origins when determining value of that discipline. Alchemy was superstitious and the origin of chemistry

A) - Wrong - this is not the point of the argument

B) - Correct - Because it does not show that chemistry's origin have contributed negatively or positively to chemistry now

C) - Wrong - Does not do this

D) - Wrong - Only talks about one discipline's that are not scientifically valuable

E) - Wrong - does not use discipline in different ways

I have a feeling whenever a question brings up the rate of a phenomena changing and discusses the number of that phenomena, there almost always a flaw in the proportion. How can I practice to get through these questions quick? Once it "clicks' it is fairly easy to find the right AC no matter the difficulty #help

@

I will take the PT while circling the questions I think I've missed. I'll go back and the end and review the question to see if I'll change an answer. After I will review the questions I missed by trying to see if I can get the question correct on a 3rd try. Last, I review all questions to reinforce what I've learned from the PT. I'll focus on the lowest difficulty problem types I missed. For example: If I missed three 3 start PSA questions and everything else I missed were 4 star questions, I'll drill PSA questions.

Why am I getting hung up on A vs. E. Is A solely wrong because many customers wouldn't benefit and it leaves room for many other customers that can benefit? Is it also wrong because it doesn't fail the sufficient in the exception? #help

Study schedule leading up to June 2019 LSAT

I've done some number crunching and determined the rest of my schedule for leading up to the June 2019 LSAT (~27 days away). I am studying full-time currently. I am currently fool-proofing logic games and have about 90 hours of logic game study left. This makes my study schedule as follows:

Now until May 22nd: Logic Games fool-proofing

May 23rd to June 1st: 6 full-length practice tests (one full day for a test and one full day for each review)

June 2nd: rest day

June 3rd: LSAT

Does 7Sage think I should change my schedule up leading up in June LSAT?

Consistently scoring at ~166 - Feeling like a failure

Sages,

After raising my PTs from 149 to 166, I've plateaued! The last three PTs I've been scoring at 166 and need to improve more. I am usually going -0 in logic games and -7 in each of the other sections.

I've been taking PTs and looking what question types I've got incorrect and drilled with those. I'm also sleeping well, with a balanced diet and workout schedule. What are ways to get over this plateau?

How to study with 50% extra time?

I've just been approved with 50% extra time. Here's some background info:

-I'm taking November 2019 LSAT

-Completing the ultimate CC this week

-still working on fool-proofing LG

This gives me about 11 weeks to study. Aiming for 168+. How should I change my methods for 1.5x tests? I imagine LG would be the same strategy, but what about LC and LR? Are there any tutors that specialize in 1.5x LSAT?

So I initially didn't choose A because it was too strong, but choose it after reviewing the rest of the ACs. Like, how do I know a corporate sponsor didn't drop, and another replaced their funding. Wile reviewing, I noticed the stimulus says, "if ANY of the corporate sponsors had withdrawn...."

I will now try to circle quantifiers like that. Hopefully that'll help me in the future.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
