disappointed w my performance

hello. I took the lsat today and I’m rlly disappointed in myself. While my strategy improved (I had 2-5 mins to review my answers), i felt that I didn’t perform up to my potential of 155-160 (got a 162 br in last pt). I worked so hard and saw so much improvement that I’ve never seen in myself before in these past couple of months. And it’s now all down the drain— I never had this feeling of not performing up to my potential after a test before. I did not even feel this way in my last two attempts (which I admitted to myself they were a complete disaster. No concept of time management). I tried to relax and restore my confidence which worked for me in the second half of the test. But I feel that I’ll get the same 149 score as before and that I failed at reaching my potential. I was hoping to apply now with my Jan lsat score.

Is it normal for anyone to feel this way?

💪 Motivated

leisure reading before rc as a warm up

hey guys. just curious here--im wondering if anyone else like to read a chapter of a book etc before they do lsat practice, esp rc? when i was studying for the lsat i found that doing this beforehand helped me warm up when practicing rc. is this the same case for anyone else?

im retaking the lsat tomorrow and i haven't done any intense drilling today, just review of some concepts i struggle with. i read a bit of non fiction etc to help me prepare for dissecting tomorrow's rc passages. im mainly trying to relax today while also getting ready for tomorrow lol

i don't study at all on test day. listening to a song that hypes you up rlly helps to ease the nerves. tell yourself you're gonna take the test with confidence. the lsat is interesting because the test rlly is a reflection of your own mind. take care of ur own cognition on ur test day. sleep, eat, etc. u got this!

@icedshakenespresso hello! I tend to highlight as I go (results in literally the whole passage getting highlighted). I use different colors to mark transitions, evidence, author’s points etc

As for reading, I skim the passage for structure, noting down what kind of passage it is (ex: critique debate, spotlight). I make a mental note of what kind of arguments or evidence the author puts forward.

This results in a bare bones understanding of the passage as a whole

😖 Frustrated

NEED HELP Need to close HUGE Blind Review Gap Before January LSAT!!

Feeling really frusturated, here is my most recent LSAT score result. I need to at least a 160. The Blind Review shows that i KNOW im around 160s knowledge and i am beyond my goal score (i had a diagnostic score of 137!!) its just NOT translating in my raw score. I need to close the blind review LSAT gap before January 10th, but I literally don't know what to do. I have improved timing and pacing wise, as that was previously a huge issue.

Reading Comprehension is my weakest section. I changed my technique after this LSAT score to read structurally and literally, as I was previously reading for content. However, I took a RC Timed Section today and still got -14!!! I keep consistently falling for trap answers!! I have no idea what to do, or if its even possible to close this blind review gap. I am trying so hard, I have the knowledge of a 160+ scorer but its not translating. Please give me your tips and tricks to close this huge gap? And how else should I do my blind review to close the gap?

thank you all so much in advance.

😖 Frustrated

Need Help ...Big Difference in BR vs. Actual Result Due to Timing

Firstly, I am proud of my blind review score; I have never recieved a BR score as low as this before (as a 148 scorer). I actually understand the content and my drills now!...but timing always holds me back! I know I can do this and I have potential, but I'm always rushing in LR, and I am panic answering questions by the end of RC. I literally don't know how to pace myself effectively, I've tried dividing time, flagging questions, pacing myself etc. The main issue with LR especially is that i KNOW how to figure out the answer, I just quite literally don't have the time to map out the whole question to answer a CondR question. I don't know what to do! Please give tips. I want to reach around the 160s.

@ANP how long have you been working on your weak topics for?

🙃 Confused

my 7sage priority drills changed!

I previously had most of my LR priority drills flagged as "highest priority". Been weeding out my problem areas one by one, started with Inference/MBT because its my weakest drill and I have the lowest accuracy. Suddenly, my stats changed...most of my drills have now dropped to low priority. Is this a sign of improvement? Or is there a glitch. I still have some high/highest priority topics.

hello, i want someone to check my understanding for question 1, "its always sunny in Philly." my understanding was that "its" isn't enough; we need to categorize two ideas, so theres some nuance and its fine. so the main ideas were sunny and Philly. besides, always indicates neccessary condition.
