Hi guys, I've been a member of 7sage for over a year, and am taking the test December 6th. I have found that I really enjoy watching "inspirational" videos. I recently found one I found particularly nice and helpful. I am going to post it here. I particularly like the part at the beginning talking about the illusion of "perfect timing" for "great moments." Additionally, there is a part that mentions an African proverb which says, " If there is no enemy inside, then no enemy from without can cause harm." The video also talks about facing uncertainty, etc. Anyway, maybe it will help another out there preparing for the test on Dec. 6. Also, please add to this post things of this nature. I think it would be really nice to have a post of things like this. Some people may find the video cheesy, but anyways, I really like it. Good luck, guys.

i'm not sure. sorry
I am also waiting on a score. Are scores necessarily sent on the same day? And also, could you explain the -12 curve please.
NUMBER 6 C
frankly before the most recent events under discussion in the stimulus, we don't know the amount disaster communities questioned relief effort. Also, the fact the stimulus talks so much about long term needs not be satisfied casts major doubt on the first part of answer choice C.
Also, on E, a better system of reporting doesn't talk at all about people actually reporting.
Yeah you're right for sure. In terms of what we have its definately the best answer. My problem is just that I thought these examples you gave could be due Cameron's artistic directing, perfecting, creating, etc. Similar to how a director directing a scene in a movie today could take much time, but this wouldn't support that in today's time, taking a video takes a long time. Its instintanious with our techonolgy. The cause of the timing length is the artistic goals, purposes, etc. So i didn't think the passage supported answer choice E.
Its like having two basketball players that are are at two different levels. One can barely dribble (biology). The other can dribble and lay up but not shoot (physics). Implementing a dribbling program for the first player would be beneficial to the first player. However, implenting this program for the second playr would hardly be worth his time.
You forgot to bold the word domesticated in the first line. This is a very relevant qualifier here. Its not talking about large mammal species now existence, categorically. Its referring to the subset which is domesticated.
The idea in the second line is referring to the idea of large mammal species in existence that are wild. Different from the idea in the first line.
I poorly read the stimulus as suggesting it was the fertalizer that was resulting in the poor soil structure in the typical farms.
I chose A but was real hesitant but was real hestitant b/c it says " draws a conclusion about a way a thing SHOULD be done." this is supposed to parallel w better way to do something.
For the record, during the test I could not pick a single answer for number 13 and I also got 13 wrong on BR. For 13 Answer (A) we cannot use the fact that Cameron used ordinary people documenting extraordinary events to support (A)'s general claim. How can we use the fact that in the particular way that Cameron took certain pictures - i.e. dressing people up - taking the pictures might've taken a long time support answer (E). (E) says, generally, in Cameron's Era it took a long time to take a picture. How can we generalize from possibly long-natured photographs Cameron might have taken?Flatly do not get this. Its not like the passage said due to camera technology available to Cameron, she spent much time with her subjects in taking photographs.
A problem with E is that it presupposes the truth of being able to distinguish between false and real needs which the author is in disagreement with. I chose this answer.
on Most strongly supported you have to ease up a little bit. Look at the stimulus. People who are allergic to cats are allergic to certain proteins in animal's skin secretions and saliva. The next idea should be a different sentence but its poorly written. The next idea: (paraphrased) the particular proteins that are responsible (for the allergic reaction) vary from allergy suffer to allergy sufferer. Every cat can spread saliva and secretions. Every cat can provoke an allergic reaction. It is common common for cats to cause allergic reaction in certain people and not in others.
This directly supports that cats might vary in the proteins in their secretions that are giving rise to varying allergic reactions. That is not to say no cat can elicit an allergic reaction in every allergy sufferer. To get this you would need a sentence like "every allergy sufferer isn't allergic to at least one cat." This is not stipulated.
I agree with you, I think 19 is crazy. and I got it wrong on BR and in the test. But in regards to your statements above... I think a better translation of the sentence you're referring to beginning on Line 32 (paraphrased) is " chest players have great chess memory → configuration are typical of a chest game." I think its important to qualify the sufficient condition here in this way. This passages is very concerned with exeptional individuals in regards to specific activities they do, here chest memory in chest players. Additionally, this is technically what this sentence in 32 - 35 says (like you mentioned).
Contrapositive: /configuration are typical of a chest game →/chest players have great chess memory. In answer choice A you could have a " typical move in a game other than chess" and even say this implies our condition :"/configuration are typical of a chest game." You get " typical move in a game other than chess→ /configuration typical of a chest game →/chest players have great chess memory. See the implication of the qualification of the condition in my first paragraph. In this chain you cannot say that typical game moves in a non-chess games implies not exceptional memory, broadly speaking. You can push to not exceptional chess memory.
In answer choice D, assuming there is at least one chess configuration that is ""/configuration typical of a chest game" you can push to "/chest players have great chess memory."
I guess a red flag in a testing condition would just be awareness to the fact that this is oddly brings up a game other than the game the group talking about does exceptionally. Think wait... maybe these other games could evenl hold quite an amount of similarity with typical chest games configurations... idk maybe stratego configurations. Quickly eliminate b c and e. Teeter totter between A and D, reread line 32 line and go with your gut which is hopefully right. Hahah,
2 b might also be an example of of a type of artwork in The Color Field school prior to 1960s (9-10)?
13 A is tricky in that the idea is right next to the place in line 54 in which intentionally commodified games are mentioned. The passage doesn't actually say A is a characteristic of intentionally modified games however. Rather, the passage says IF such a real world sale using virtual currency takes place in an intentionally modified game then it should be taxed universally (L55). There exists a connection between line 54's "intentionally commodified games" and " encouraging real world trade in virtual items ( Line 1-2)." Encouraging real world trade in virtual items (L1-2) is essentially, "commodifying" the item (L 54). A characteristic of these games is "being granted intellectual property in the game's virtual creations ( L3 - L4) Answer choice, D. Its the difference between the characteristic (granted intellectual property) of the game ( commodifying games) and a way in which an action (selling an item for virtual currency) is handled in regards to such a game( commodifying games).
I see C as stating a mere correlation and the stimulus is giving a causal story.
