I like this method, thanks for sharing! I'm in about the same situation. I've finished the LR CC and heading into LGs and starting to try to foolproof-- and I also work full-time! Are you PTing now too? I have not yet upgraded from Starter to Ultimate, but I am contemplating it a lot right now. How are finding juggling to keep LR skills sharpenin while taking on LG's too?

@ thanks very much! This helps. 4-8 games per day and your method of rotation was the kind of answer/example I was looking for. I shall try that, thanks so much for sharing. And @, no I had not yet found that excel sheet, so thank you as well!

LG Fool Proofing question

Hi everyone,

I've started fool proofing the logic games. But I'm curious to know: how many games do you tend to FP at a time? Obviously, I can only drill a game a few times a day to not just straight up memorize it.

What are your approaches? Do you go through only 5 games at a time before moving on to a new batch? Or 10 games? More? Do you visit the old games after you've fool proofed them? I'm struggling to find a good way to rotate through without worrying that I'm taking on either too many or not enough at time. (I have the LG bundle)

What was your method and what do you suggest? Your advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

J

That's wonderful, congrats! Remember this moment and celebrate-- and don't let a potential "bad PT" in the future bring you down; if that happens, instead come back to this post and relive your accomplishment :) It's no easy feat, and it's never a fluke!

I also work full-time (8am to 5pm). I'm finding that, so far, I have enough time to study, but I've really sacrificed on socializing, TV, and other activities. I'm also relatively young, and have no kids, etc. If it helps, this is my schedule that I follow religiously:

Monday through Friday:

Wake at 4:30am

Start studying by 5am until 6:30/7am

Then get ready for work and head out.

Return home form work about 5:30ish

Start studying by 6/7pm (depends how tired I may be feeling)

Study until 8/8:30pm

I go to bed around 9/9:30pm

Weekends:

Wake-up. The time changes. Often by 8am, but if I'm tired, I let myself sleep. Or else I feel too run down to keep the momentum going every week.

Study from 8 to 11

Go to gym. Eat lunch. Something other than studying.

Start again around 1 or 2pm. I will typically study until 4pm. Other times, I won't pick up studying again until 5pm. It depends of what I errands I need to complete.

For the first month, waking up that early was really difficult. But eventually I adjusted and now I actually love it.

My advice: Make a reasonable goal. Commit to putting in 2-3 hours of studying per day. It doesn't have to be all at once. An hour here. An hour there. Use the weekends to PT and recuperate. And also, ease into it if you have the time. I often even study during my lunchbreak just in case I'll feel too tired in the evening.

And if you're feeling too tired to concentrate, then listen to your body and take a break.

What also helps? A cheerleader. If you have someone in your life who can cheer you and help keep you accountable, ask them to. It's helped me so much.

Participate in the study groups here, too. It will help keep you accountable to complete PTs, lessons, etc.

I'm sorry to have written so much here! I hope it helps a bit. You're welcome to message me for any other advice or to simply have another cheerleader. if I can do it, so can you!
