I’m still making my way through this material but when looking through my notes - How could there be that assumption with the Genie+? The passage says “can download…” and it doesn’t say “only download…must download…etc”.

There’s not an assumption (missing link) between the premises and conclusion.

The premises support the conclusion “Therefore Walt….”. And because of this it’s valid.

Can't see how it would be a waste. If the experimental section were on a topic that was unrelated say for example a scored section on the basics of chemistry, that would be a waste. You know just by looking at the LSAC website that the official exam won't include the basics of chemistry. But because the experimental section is on a topic you will be tested on, wouldn't you want as much practice and understanding as possible?

My hypothesis for the order I chose from strongest argument to weakest argument is is all based on what is giving the most support.

From all of the claims you have enough to support he was team Mickey and not team Goofy.

There was enough to support that "Not every mammal is suitable to keep as a pet". Tigers ARE mammals but supports WHY they wouldn't make a suitable pet.

There is not enough support for the claim of Mr. Cat being guilty. Why is the salmon still on the ground IF he did knock over the trash to get to the fish? Nothing supports that Mr. cat knocked over the trash either.

Not every type of sport requires you to run. Afterall, swimming is a sport and does not require you to run.

2. Disney Example:

All members of the pre-law club are planning on taking the LSAT and are required to take it in 2025. Some members are taking the LSAT in November. While other members are taking it in January. Harry is a member of the pre-law club and hasn't informed the other members when he will be taking the LSAT. As a result, Harry is clearly not a member of the pre-law club since he has not provided a month for when he will be taking the LSAT.

I might be thinking too far ahead but take a look at this piece of info, "yet he has never prostrated himself to anyone or anything", This would eliminate him from the Goofy group, they prostrated themselves. In the passage, It doesn't specify that he has never "prostrated himself or anything". Because of this, you could make the inference that he did give goats to Mickey.

There isn't anything in this passage that could support there being a 3rd option.

#7 had me stumped for a minute but the word "because" helped me out figuring it out.

I was thinking about whether they were "valid" and i think I was over complicating it.

But remember it’s noted that “Persuasion is the aim of an argument”. What I’m thinking is how would you have an argument without having anything to persuade about?
