in the intro section where the author is speaking, we get a hint at what we see at the end of this paragraph. the author says the debate has misinformation. to me that hinted to the authors opinion. and sure enough we see that in this last part of the paragraph where the author does address misinformation. just a reminder to me, whenever the author is speaking to pay strong attention.

Like other comments I was also thinking A could be supported because of the "over time" line in the stim. But that relies on an assumption I was making about how long these whales have been around boats. I was assuming they have been around boats for their whole lives. But, if boats showed up yesterday, the older and younger whales would have been around them for the same amount of time, having the same hearing damage.

I got it correct at first, but in the blind review I second guessed myself and chose A. I read too long. B and D started to look identical and I thought they were trick answers and that A was the conclusion. The lesson here for me, trust my intuition with main conclusion questions.
