Jubillee: Spiritual as Hughes's The Weary: Secular songs.

Specific to general Type comparison.

Jubillee = The Weary and Spiritual = Secular Songs

I don't know the particular question you are referring to but this is the structure I see.

Gone too long....re test same diagnostic?

Fell off the wagon, about to run after it again. Took 7sage diagnostic August 2020, bombed it. Original pre 7Sage on khan 150. Considering testing summer 2021. Plan is to start all over again with a year subscription. Many thanks.

Here's a suggestion

Day 1: PT and blind review

Day 2: review. Try to explain the answer yourself, then watch the video if necessary

Day 3-5: focus solely on one of RC, LG, or LR. But be sure to give all of them their own day. At least 1 timed section but untimed _****8s ****_fine otherwise. Maybe use the PTs you've already taken for this

Day 6: focus soley on the section you think you can improve the most

Day 7: highly suggested rest but you can either do light work or if you're really determined loop back to Day 1.

I also highly recommend that you only drill and don't actually PT within 1 week of the actual test

This schedule would give you 5-6 fully timed PTs plus if you want to break up a couple of fresh PTs for your drilling.

What does '8s' mean? Thanks!

Congratulations! One question I'm not clear on from your comment preprinted below:

'I did 7sage and made it through the whole core curriculum from August-September, including 20+ PT's. I got a 171 on the October test.'

I am reading this as August - September = 1 month....you cannot mean that, correct? You mean over the course of a year?

Again, thanks for sharing your good news!

Thank you! Truly appreciate your thoughts. I have only 2 hybrid options to consider, not able to do it any other way.

Excellent advice, best of luck.

Thanks!

Many thanks for your thoughts and consideration. I've noted your helpful communication sprinkled around the forum. I trust it.

In response to your comment regarding the competitiveness for 2022 - am I correct in understanding that it will continue to be more so?

Many thanks

Many Thanks for your thoughts. AND meeting another oldster! As an aside, went looking to connect with others, couldn't find any senior citizens - must chuckle at finding self reported 'old' in the 30- 40 range. Yes, these are ages outside the bell curve and certainly sharing demands of family, jobs, etc., but it definitely gave me perspective.

Now you are going to tell me you are 30!

May your work and dedication get you the school and the score you want. Please feel free to connect again if you wish for another 'oldster''s support.

Is there a great disadvantage to taking the November test? Probably the soonest I could be ready. Obviously not early.

Not through cc yet.

Goal score 160

Diagnostic 150

Cannot do October.

Strong GPA

I am a non traditional, (very much older student), applying only to 2 hybrid programs.

Both have said this date is OK, but I'd like to hear from this community.

Many thanks.

Check both eBay & Amazon. Also used book sellers if you want to stay away from Amazon, which can sell via eBay. Larger ones such as ' Powells'. If you live in or near a university town- check local book sellers that market in these types of texts.

I applaud your ability to bravely reach out to this community. That alone, shows you have the mettle to move on toward your goal. There is SO much good, friendly encouragement and solid study advice here. By opening yourself up to this, you are creating the conditions for a positive and realistic move forward, at your own pace, in your own way.

Specific Study Question Technique

Noticing that some people will do a lesson question before viewing JY's explanation. Some others do not. I'm not talking PT's and full sections, just the individual video explanations prior to the Problem Sets.

Is there a 7Sage preferred method here, or pure learner preference? I am vacillating!

So much great wisdom floating around here! Thanks!

Today was my third time writing the lsat. My previous attempts were around 150 so i completely changed up my studying technique. I was consistently scoring 160-165 all on PT before todays exam but my test anxiety was so high and someone in the office next to me was talking loudly so I feel like i bombed my final attempt. I think this may be the end of my journey to law school as I studied full time for four months and had accommodations and still became highly stressed and blanked during the actual exam.... so frustrating.

Don't know if this will help, but a recent podcast was very useful for reorienting my thinking and strategy. I get your anxiety, and I feel your frustration. If you can, reserve judgement, take a step back, give yourself credit for the work you have done. This is a journey in the truest sense of the word. I found this podcast relevant to some of what I read in your post. Clearly, you are dedicated and determined. Good luck. Report back. This community is here for you.

LR PT 17-89?

LG: All PT

RC: 1-89

Hope that helps

Thanks!

Thank you so much for sharing your story! So proud of your achievement and your humility!

While I applaud those reaching for and achieving scores that make them eligible for T14's, stories like yours are endearing, motivational and so hopeful. My original attraction to JY's program was directly because of his dedication to make LS study more accessible to those of us who do not have the advantage of birth, social status or income.

I"ve given up so many times, and I want you to know that reading this truly helps me move past the anxiety, fear and negative self talk.

If you are taking the LSAT in the next few administrations, there is a good chance that the test your receive will be more similar to the 60s or 70s than the 80s, so don't lose hope. Keep practicing and mastering your mistakes and you will be able to tackle whatever LSAC throws your way.

Still doing the CC, but this comment piqued my interest. Signed up for November, first time. Wondering if you could elaborate? Thank you!

Just catching up to the above comments. Thank you! Very helpful to learn and forgive the stop/start nature of this for some of us.

Best wishes!

Just recommitted for a year. Live in the PST, half luddite and willing to learn. First kahn PT 150, 7SAge PT 140. Go figure. Gave up and went away. Reevaluated and here I am. Paid up for a year.

My goal score is whatever honest effort rewards me with.

My vision for a group is one that is supportive, non competitive, mindful, playful and committed. Open to structure and mechanics of connecting.

Newish to 7 Sage mechanics, so not quite sure about how to receive interest (should there be any!).

Bravo! Congratulations!!!

I applaud your honesty and gracious willingness to share. As another non traditional student with lots of living and working behind me, the path forward has been more daunting than I expected, mostly derived from obsessing about a score and insecurity about my advanced age. Your story puts the 'audacity' back in front of my hope. It would be an honor to follow in your footsteps.

I wish you the very best.

Interested. Lost focus and now I'm starting from scratch again. Aim to test in July - September. Want to feel comfortable and ready. Like the idea of various levels of scores and emphasis on accountability.

Thanks for starting this.

I know this is a big confusing endeavor. There may be other advice coming, but below is a basic outline for you.

Think of this as a year long marathon.

~Start an LSAC account today. You can parse out the cost.

~Give yourself time to take it twice.

~Check your target schools, what are their timelines?

~Generally the FAFSA is available in September the year prior to the year you plan on applying, so September 2021 for Fall 2022.

~August, October and even November test dates in 2021 should give you enough time to apply for a Fall start 2022.

~Much luck and perseverance!

~Best advice ever? Take it when you are confident and ready. Period.

Timely- I just rejoined about ten minutes ago, committed to a year.

Original cold diagnostic 150, when I found 7Sage, plummeted on the June '07 suggested diagnostic to 140, took a long break and yesterday did another cold diagnostic clocking in at 145. I've lurked and wandered long enough.

Interested, old and a luddite. Certainly could use the mutual aid in a supportive, collegial environment.

Many Thanks
