LG PT 1-35 Strategy

Hi! I know everyone has different strategies for what works well for them for FP LG PT 1-35.

I would love to hear others experiences in how they saw optimal improvements working their way through each of the game sections.

  • How many games were you doing each day// how long did it take you to get through each LG PT 1-35?
  • Did you feel like you needed more prep after 1-35?
  • What advice would you have if you were to do it all over again (or if you did it all over again haha)?
  • How did you fit in Fool Proofing with studying for the other sections?

    Digital Exam RC Notations

Hi! I am currently going through the CC and am practicing RC.

After watching J.Y.'s videos, I realized that I need a systematic notation method. However, with the exam going digital I am not sure how it's best to go about this?

What strategies are others using/how they are changing for the digital exam? What consistent phrasing (i.e. hypothesis, other person's argument) are you using for your skeleton low-res sketch? What are you choosing to highlight with your stylus?

    I can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts :)

I feel like the optimal time would be a week or two prior to you planning on submitting your application. You can reference your experiences in your Why X statements and then when you meet with the admission counselor it's close enough that there is a chance they remember meeting you

Hi! Congrats on your score! I love 7Sage. I am on my last week of the curriculum and it took me about 10 weeks although I was slotted for 6 weeks. I decided not to take the September test and push to Oct. However, everyone works at a different pace -- because you already know the information you may move through the CC quicker.

I bought the starter package but will upgrade to the Ultimate. I think it depends on how much time you foresee yourself using the program. I also used PB for LG i thought it complemented nicely -- I did not use it for LR though.

Maybe register and then change testing date after you find out from your professors because slots are starting to fill up quickly.

I was in a similar situation a few months ago. I used Kaplan but I could not wrap my head around the games section. Everyone described Powerscore and LSAT Trainer as amazing prep. I bought both. My problem was beyond figuring out type of game it is, I needed to learn how to quickly dissect the rules and figure out what inferences to look for -- I needed a toolkit of strategies. Powerscore does just that. It breaks down each game type and then tells you what strategies to use. Then, I used the LSAT trainer. This is where I made my biggest jump in improvement because of the intense repetition of the drills.

Now that I have the foundations down, I do the FP method. I do the game, watch every one of J.Y.s videos and do it again immediately after the video, the next day, and then the next week. I do each game 4x and then if I'm still not making his recommended time improvement I highlight it on my google doc and come back to it later. You will get there.

It sounds like you need to build a stronger foundation in comfort level in game type but also figuring out the rules/inferences to make. I found those two books helped build that foundation for me. After you have that down, the FP method does wonders in fine-tuning those skills.

Is there a way to buy the LSAC stylus to practice? Also I know we can bring our own pencils, but can we bring our own pen too?

Thanks for the advice @ !! When you say you FP twice, does that mean you did all 140 games 2x each or you did all 140 games anywhere from 7-14x each?? How many months did this take you and about how much FP did you do on a given day?

@ It depends on when you want to apply. If you are doing ED and they have a November deadline then October would be the last time to test. If you aren't applying ED then I would wait and take in November. You can also call up and see if they will be adding test locations near you for either test date. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the advice :) How long did it take you to start noticing your speed increasing?

    LR speed

Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to improve on LR speed? I average about 2 minutes per question (and I feel like I am rushing). Although I am slow, I am mostly accurate.

I would love to hear all of your thoughts :)

Honestly, I'm not even sure if they will be able to get it together and have an online test created by June. Is it possible to even have an online test created by July?

THE BIG QUESTION: Would admissions consider accepting July scores for the fall of 2020?

Most likely, with how the world is going, online tests might be a thing for August and October exams? Thoughts?

    Confirm action

    Are you sure?
