Interested! But realize I am a month late to this conversation and am also taking the November LSAT, just two weeks away. If you are still doing this, please add me to the list!

"[...] because they are emission-free, will result in an abatement of the environmental degradation caused by auto emissions."

A: Will have worse environmental consequences than proponents may believe.

I didn't choose A because after reading the line I referenced thought that proponents were correct (emphasis on "caused by auto emissions"). Since the vehicles will be battery-powered, there will be an abatement of the environmental degradation specifically caused by auto emissions. The other environmental effects occur due to the use of the battery, but the effects caused by auto emissions in particular will be reduced. For this reason, I eliminated A and went with E in my BR as well. Can you please help me understand why this is wrong? #help

Hello everyone! My LSAT was this morning at 6:20 AM. My sections were: AR(23)-RC(27)-LR(25). I intially felt prepared, but then my mind went blank once the first AR section began. I don't know if anyone else has had this happen/would recommend doing warmup question sets before the start of the exam?

All of the sections honestly seemed pretty standard in comparison to the other practice tests I've taken on Khan Academy and the PT books.

This was my first time taking the LSAT and the main reason I signed up for this slot is because I plan to apply in the fall and wanted to have ample time to retake it if I wasn't happy with my score. I paid for score preview offered to first-time test-takers, which lets you see your score then decide if you want to cancel it out. Wondering if there is any downside to cancelling out your score using this preview option?

Lastly, wondering if anyone has taken the LSAT writing portion. I've taken one LSAT prep course and they didn't put any focus on the practice writing samples in the prep test books. We would always skip over them and focus on the questions, since writing doesn't factor into your score. I'm wondering if the writing portion is something you would suggest practicing or if there is any advice/information you can give on taking it?

Thank you and good luck to everyone!

My default seems to be set to that, too. I am unsure of how to change the settings so that each problem set pulls up with the correct time, but if you click the small timer at the right corner of your screen you will see a "Time Adjustment" dropdown where you can select "Standard time" before beginning the problem set.

LSAT Timing/Analog Watches

Hello,

I am struggling with keeping in the time constraints I've set for myself during my PTs. I try to remind myself to look at the display timer every time I click on the next question or am going through ACs, but sometimes I am deep in a LG and totally go over time before I've had the chance to look back. I used to use my phone to time myself and it would sit directly in front of me as I took a hardcopy PT.

Since everything is digital, I'm trying to switch up my practices accordingly... But I'm wondering if anyone has used the LSAT analog watches available and would suggest them? I'm thinking that with the watch right next to my sheet of paper, it will be easier for me to keep an eye on the time. Do you think I should invest in a watch - and if so, which one - or do you think monitoring the timer will become easier with practice and would be best to stick to the display timer only?

Would appreciate some advice before I spend the money on a timer that may hinder my studying in some way rather than help! Thank you so much!

Congratulations on your score!

I'm in the same boat as you. Scored so close to 170 and now that I've reached the 25th percentile for some of the T14s it seems they could be in reach. So now wondering if I should retake January to get a 170+ or if it would be best to apply ASAP with January (February score release) being so late in the cycle and the prospect of only a couple points increase. In addition, unless we hit over a 173 think we would be in the same score band and would see maybe a 3ish increase in percentile, but I'm not sure how much that matters compared to the actual number score. Registration deadline is tomorrow - if you've gotten any advice on this and figured out what to do please let me know!

@ my August LSAT was a 163. When I received that score in September I started studying daily for the November LSAT. I would sometimes take one day off, but I think being consistent about it was most helpful. Prior to that I would do these super long study sessions, especially on the weekend because of work, and probably not touch the books during most days of the week. I switched it up to a few hours or more each day. I also focused on getting a -0 on LG and my weaker question types in LR. The analytics tool was useful in figuring out exactly where I was struggling and I hadn't made full use of it until after that August test for some reason. Reading comprehension has never been my strong section and I just went in knowing I could possibly score a -10 on that. Lastly, I gave up my social life lol.
