Does anyone recall how many questions were in the last game (South American tours)?

I think six, but not positive

For me the key to a lot of the unusual logic games on the October test was running the numbers. Keeping track of what the various numerical possibilities could be, helped in games 1 and 3 which had pretty vague gameboards in my opinion.

I had 2 LR sections with 26 each, the test had 102, my experimental was RC

If you received an email about a retake when your test went just fine, you can ignore that. LSAC has said those were in error.

Yes, Games went pretty well, but messed up in RC. We'll see what happens...

I too had two RC sections but it's still not clear to me which one was experimental. The first one was way more difficult and in it the last passage was about Whorf's hypothesis regarding language influencing thought. The second RC section - which I thought was much easier - had as its last passage Chomsky's way of approaching linguistics as a science (as defined by Popper). So which of these was the experimental section???

Sadly the first more difficult one is real, and the second easier one is experimental.

Did you have a question on angiogenesis (prevents obese rodents) on one section and a question on BSL (?)on untreated and treated cows?

both of those were real

I believe make up tests are pencil and paper. The good news is, the scores are usually released the same day as everyone else so rolling admissions is not impacted.

I thought the real RC (early non-fiction films) was brutal, the experimental was much easier.

Should I retake after 172

Hi everyone,

I received a 172 on October's LSAT. I know I should be excited and grateful, and I am. But I am still tempted to take November's test in a few days which I am registered for. Of my last 5 PTs two were 172s and the rest were 175 and up. My thinking is that since they only count the highest score, the advantages of possibly doing better outweigh the disadvantages of possibly doing worse. Doing worse is a real possibility and I already have one cancellation from July. My weakest section is LG and If I get a hard LG section my score could suffer. I've ranged from -0 to -10 in LG. I can tell right away If I bomb a section and would cancel but I think 2 cancellations look really bad. I am not sure if I should retake, and would appreciate your thoughts.

From Harvard's Admissions FAQ's.... I would imagine other schools are the same even though they only report the higher score for their medians.

"Should I retake the LSAT or GRE?

You need only take the LSAT or GRE once, however, if you take multiple tests, the Admissions Committee will consider all LSAT and/or GRE scores presented as part of your application.

Please note, while the GRE is composed of multiple sections, no one section will be weighted more heavily than the others. Similarly, each test score is reviewed individually; we do not “super-score”, average, or consider the highest composite score exclusively.

We consider any information an applicant provides about their scores. If you feel that one or more of your scores is not representative of your capabilities, you may address your concerns in an addendum attached to your application.

If you are confident that you can do better I would cancel. If something goes horribly wrong in September you can always retake. I'm in the same boat. I got a 168 and am consistently PTing between 171-175 and will probably cancel.

I had LG, LR (26), LR (26), RC, LR (25). Hoping the experimental was the 2nd or the 3rd LR sections-- they were both pretty tough! the 25 question LR was fairly straightforward. RC comparative passage was insane. LG were really straight forward!

If he had 2 (26) sections then it is confirmed that those of us who had 1 (26), that section was real

is the LR with microeconomics and statistics courses as the 2nd to last question real? It was 25 questions. any one else have that? I als had LG LR LR RC LR

I believe it was real. I had three LR sections but that question was in a section that I think is confirmed as non-experimental.

thanks

On the actual test you can always eliminate answer choices by fading them like on 7sage, but they only have an option to collapse answers when not all the answers fit on the screen at one time. The actual test IME was exactly like the public digital tests that they have available.
