In my opinion, C is correct not because it is the most obvious principle, but it is the principle that via POE, is the only one left here. There are better, stronger principles that would apply here and easily beat C, but they are not here, thus the weak C is left as the correct answer

@CamilleApril6 I honestly am not sure this strategy works, I feel like coming to the natural conclusion of these fill in the blanks as you read the stimulus prepares you a lot better for the traps that come up than reading the answers first

@taylorstryker objective as a term can be used as an descriptor (objective/not objective) or a comparative (more/less objective). It appears the author has just mixed these uses up. The example is just trying to show that the relative is not an absolute, i.e. even if they're "more objective" about subjects they know less about, they're still "extremely less objective" than a different person would be

@ehaupt33 I think this question was less of a "which answer resolves this discrepancy" and more of a "which answer provides the best alternative effect of the asteroid which caused the extinction." The theory given in the question is disproven, which means that the answer has to be a new idea of what caused the extinction
