@cappelldaniel400 But the main point is that Vitamin C harms the effectiveness of chemo, this is not a "what generally gets you healthy question", but a "why do vitamin c and chemo not go together" question. A could be construed as an argument to give cancer patients vitamin C, but that is not what the argument is concluding. Since the second clause gives a reason not to give vitamin C, it is the correct answer. If it was just, "cancer cells absorb vitamin C", I would see your point
@AdrianneLouis the reason is that the purchasing of fewer cars is not a conclusion, it's a new point in the argument meant to weaken Charles' conclusion
In my opinion, C is correct not because it is the most obvious principle, but it is the principle that via POE, is the only one left here. There are better, stronger principles that would apply here and easily beat C, but they are not here, thus the weak C is left as the correct answer
@CamilleApril6 I honestly am not sure this strategy works, I feel like coming to the natural conclusion of these fill in the blanks as you read the stimulus prepares you a lot better for the traps that come up than reading the answers first
@KyleCrocco E is attempting to resolve the gap between the lack of qualified teachers in the region and the inability to hire qualified teachers
@taylorstryker objective as a term can be used as an descriptor (objective/not objective) or a comparative (more/less objective). It appears the author has just mixed these uses up. The example is just trying to show that the relative is not an absolute, i.e. even if they're "more objective" about subjects they know less about, they're still "extremely less objective" than a different person would be
@ehaupt33 I think this question was less of a "which answer resolves this discrepancy" and more of a "which answer provides the best alternative effect of the asteroid which caused the extinction." The theory given in the question is disproven, which means that the answer has to be a new idea of what caused the extinction
For AC's A and E, it may be helpful to consider that the best missample for this premise may be that top management =/= CEO. Therefore, A and E are kind of saying the same thing, since the rest of sample is clearly a good sample, and thus both can be eliminated
