LR LG LR RC LR

test was not too bad, but I f-ed up on the third game.

Real section for game:

the months one, the one with 1pm, 2pm and 3pm slots, and two other seq games, one 6 variable, the other from days of the week

RC:

ancient civilization, Hollywood film and realism, blame and free will, entropy/big bang/universe

Anyone can confirm LR for me? (I had 3 sections, all 25 Qs)

I had:

bats and rabies

car theft

property value with (?) light installation, something about 30,000 price increase

political activist says something on smaller political parties and economic prosperity/needing to change the system

endangered oysters

Andy Warhol art

osteoporosis and diet/exercise

Please tell me which one you didn't get, if possible (my brain is dead)

Is it just me or does everyone else have no idea what your RC score is. I typically average -5 over the last 2 weeks. Before then was -7,-8 really consistently and the highest being -10 but right now I have no clue For me it could be anywhere from -5 to -13 :(

eagles, I'm right where you're at... I feel like I'm -6 to -?????? for RC...

Yeah guys, thanks for your responses!

I totally agree with you all.

I thought the LG was really easy as well. But for the first game, I got one rule wrong and had to erase and re-draw one of my subgameboards. That took a while..

I also ended up guessing for 3-4 of the questions on the last game. A little disappointed in myself for screwing up such an easy section :(...

The RC was definitely bad... I wouldn't be surprised if I got -10, since I didn't finish the section... and just bubbled in... Reading comp is one of those sections where I can make my best effort to answer all of the questions, regardless of time, and still get -8 to -12 wrong on my worst tests... I can't imagine how bad not finishing it would be

Yeah, I think there were a lot of assumption and explanation questions for the LR which I'm not a huge fan of.... Just feeling unsure of keeping or cancelling score now.

I had 3 LR sections, sections 1, 3 and 5. First one had the last question to do with some folktales being spoken orally (which I didn't get to) and it was 25 questions (so far it seems like that one is experimental?), second one was 26 questions (don't remember question content but everything that everyone mentioned sounds familiar), and third one was 25 questions with last question being super duper long, filling half the page. Second one was relatively easy.

RC was hard. I only got to 22/27 when I ran out of time... I'm sure I probably got 21 and 22 wrong too...

LG finished 3 games, had 4 questions remaining on the last one :( ...

June 2017 Logical Reasoning?

Any thoughts? How did you guys feel about it?

I got 3 sections, 2 with 25 questions and 1 with 26 questions.

I think I did OK... but totally bombed the RC...

agreed. I messed up timing it on my watch and didn't get past 2nd question of the last passage. I thought the last passage was the hardest one...

Was the passage (comparative) about intellectual property in your reading comprehension? (it had a question about utilitarianism)

Also cyclists and the environment was in the same section.

I had 2 RC. That was section 4 for me.

I recall the other RC was first section. If I’m remembering things correctly, I found the first passage difficult but with only a few questions.

The LR had one of the first questions with a prof talking about engagement in his courses.

LG last game (and having to pee really really bad) killed me :( investment bonds 5 year and 10 years. 6 pieces.

Was the LR with question about apartments in old buildings real?

Yes that one was real!

Thanks! But ugh I thought that one was experimental bc the questions felt really weird.... like the dogs/cats one.. and the MBF question about liking people and respecting them. Gahhh.

Oh yeah! the dogs and cats one... :( The MBF was conditional logic.

Wtf were any of the RC passages trying to say??? I couldn’t get a solid grasp of the MP on any of the 4, and I didn’t feel sure about ANY of the answer choices that I selected....literally not one. And while I’m not usually great, I’m actually not completely terrible at RC. #panicking

Was the question about the author’s tone/attitude In the14th Amendment passage “noxious aspects”?

That's what I chose as well.

I had 2 LGs. Omg. Both of them killed me. Only did 3/4. Sadder part is that I had most problems on the elimination questions in LG (first question).

It seems consensus that the 123 layer [admin note: too specific, read OP] was fake right?

I had problems on the [admin note: too specific, read OP] question, mainly the elimination question, which killed all my time. I believe that was the first game?

Would love to discuss if someone wants to PM....

Also, RC first passage.... WTF? I have no idea what that “state” whatever meant. So brutal for a first passage.

Real RC:

14th amendment

Horses

Music/Poetry

Seismic plates

Real LR: 26 and 25 Qs

They included...

Venus, Volcanos

Sweeter/artificial sweetener parallel reasoning

Long ass question on wage and bosses making 50X —question filled half the page.

Pollution on Mars

Any questions on which LR was real, just ask. I only had real ones so I should be able to recall

I understand why B is correct, but I didn't know that pets provided companionship?? Does personal bonds = companionship here? Does interacting with animals count as companionship? The question provides no info on this relationship between personal bonds and companionship and pets...

For that reason, none of the answers here looked attractive to me. I ended up choosing B, because although it wasn't strongly supported by the question, I did think it was the "most" strongly supported out of all the answer choices.

Easy question in other respects, but I eliminated a) because I thought the use of "implicit" was descriptively inaccurate.

The use of "instead" seems to indicate that popularly acclaimed works and best works are two distinct categories already.

Rahima just reiterates this point in her response.

But it seems to me that the assumption was explicit, not implicit.
