The tip of negating a potential answer to see if it is necessary is extremely helpful. I was torn between answer choices E and D, but I saw that negating D would ensure that biological processes were more expensive. (I think...)

I got this question right in blind review, but it's definitely because I had time to compare the structure of the logic by writing it out. Gahhhhh, the time limit is so stressful!
I agree with other commenters in that Question 4 seems grammatically ambiguous. Specifically, "them" in the phrase "most voters pay them scant attention" could refer to many editorialists. Thus, the sentence would imply that voters ignore the "many editorialists" who criticize "personal attacks."
