Did anyone notice a Sept 2016 date on the lsac website. I was just looking at registering and saw that the date after June was Sept 2016 not Oct .. wonder if it just a typo.

I did identify the conclusion correctly but I have trouble with the paraphrasing of the answer. The conclusion says: it is a mistake to think that natural selection will eventually result in organisms that will be perfectly adapted to their environment. This means "In natural selection MAY NOT eventually result in perfectly adapted organisms" . Will never is not only too strong , to me it seems incorrect. This seems in line with the fact that the negation of all is some .. not..and not none . Hence really was unable to select any answer for this question and eventually selected A out of desperation.
Ha on not setting the date my dad was surprised that one could postpone it and even further surprised that you could cancel your score. He had both his hands on his head saying you are never going to get done . Is there s limit on how long you can try
matcha brand recommendations please ... I am trying out and want to get some expert advice on this :-) since I am a matcha newbie.
My opinion differs from the above 2 .. I am doing it just to psych myself up for the prep if nothing else. I do not see a downside.
@jhaldy10325 hmmm I am wondering how much worse than any big tech firm would big law be :-) Also if there is data specifically on people in tech doing law. I am looking to network with such a group if there is one. Cannot think of a better way to get an insight on this issue
I was hoping to use photo booth on my mac
It is unbelievable we have so few choices ... sorry no advice to offer :-(
I am very perplexed since I found out some in tech have taken a 3 year break to do law and have gone back to work in tech at (dare I say) not so great career jumps i.e. nothing they could not have achieved just working as opposed to pursuing law. these are T6 law grads . I do not know them so well as to ask them WHY ? but I am more than mildly curious at these choices . Any insight is appreciated.
Great !!! Thanks.
Thanks , I will try this.
Would it be possible to share with 7sagers until the licensing issues are sorted or does the license issue affects all ?
is this one recorded ? Would like to hear the recording since I missed it. Is there a common place to access all the recordings in case I want to hear any of the previous ones again ?
@msirchia692 :-) "argue less" haaa same here :-) however I am even more irate due to all the madness and my enhanced capability to recognize it.
thanks @nielsinha488 !! Nice to know it does not affect my ability to relate and succeed in the program. I worry about how I get that "been there done that" feeling anytime a younger colleague wants to do something... that is their idea of fun. My idea of fun now is going for long walks with my dog and my preteen child.. :-) If I can spare an hour that is what I would like to do.
Thanks @974 !! I had once checked law schools for average ages of incoming class. I think Columbia had the youngest crowd among the T6 that is .
@nielsinha488 thanks for the details, however I was looking to hear from you about the social aspects now that you are already at school , do you feel different / do you think you need to make more of an effort to fit in ? Or any other insight you may have eg his much group work vs individual work is required ? Would it be tough for me to for example find project partners etc :-)
I am on the west coast and was planning on applying this year , but since I am not where I want to be score-wise I will be taking the June lsat ( yes another year lost :-() but I am working on multiple things and hopefully they will help the final application . Yes maybe we should have a thread for non-traditional applicants. I agree on the not/overemphasizing part. However I would love to hear from @nielsinha488 if he has a perspective to share since he is already at a law school . Is that something to consider w.rt bring s good fit at school .
@pritisharma565 do you mind sharing where are you deciding to go , east coast may not be my first choice (for similar reasons as yours) but I am open to moving out for the right school. Find it interesting that Columbia thought one was allowed to have a midlife crisis at 36 :-)
Let me ask you : why would one do a 3 year JD instead of a 2 year MBA if one were interested in mgmt roles in their current field ? Also JD/MBA seems to be a good option but that would mean separate admission into both programs. Last I checked only a couple schools accepted LSAT scores for MBA admissions. So the options were either to get admission into one program and then take GMAT or take both GMAT and LSAT upfront and apply into both programs at a school simultaneously and that would mean one would need to be accepted at both independently.
@kevinmdunshee160 please do share more on how to achieve the jump in score.
Thanks !! I think I should BR the circled questions only. Should certainly make for better ROI at this point.
Oh ya !!!! My personal growth is phenomenal. Just reading those passages ; topics I was never exposed to ; things I never thought about. Of course reasoning etc ...
