I'm struggling a bit with the difference between context and premise. Is it a difference between stating factually and stating opinion/theory? Comparing the management example to the Disney example, I would think the premise in the Disney example in which they tell you the two ways to get a Genie+ pass would be context. The only difference I'm detecting between the Genie+ context and the management context is that the Genie+ is stated as factual, while the "management must be intimidating" is stated as just a theory.
It is an argument, just a weak one. There is a an assumption that fast cars are unsafe for pedestrians, however I believe this assumption would be arbitrary. Are there better sidewalks? Barriers? Maybe the shorter city blocks have no sidewalks at all? Etc.
Same. I wonder, based on the explanation in the video, if the premise cannot simply verify the conclusion, but needs to actively support? Support is not inference and the direct intention of creating the argument is required? If this is the case, I think the definition of support as increasing the likelihood of truth threw me off.
Thank you, Brad! I will score a 170+!!!
