If we don’t vote then democracy will crumble
One vote doesn’t make a huge difference but a large amount will
Not right if one person doesn’t vote if that same act done by large amount would be socially damaging

The way science is conducted/regulated can be changed
But must determine whether changes are warranted considering price
Use of animal testing could end but then would have to sacrifice abandoning research & more expensive
Recombinant DNA reduced but many more restrictions imposed
Massive changes like these two examples would be costly & change character of science

Cannot deny homelessness is a problem but there are disagreements on how to solve it. Ignoring the problem won't make it go away.

- Skeleton of NA Mastodon that went extinct at the peak of Ice Age was disocvered
- The skeleton had human throwup that wasn’t similar to that part of Eurasia close to NA
- Because Eurasians didn’t settle NA till after the peak of Ice Age - the first Eurasian settlers are probably from a more distant part.

Breakdown of Stimulus
Social systems are based on a division of economic roles.
The social system places value and prestige on those in various economic roles.
Therefore it’s no surprise that labor saving technology which replace various economic roles, also undermines the values in a social system.
The stimulus is saying that social systems for ex USA are made up of workers for a variety of jobs stemming from a janitor to a doctor, etc.
The system values these roles, therefore laborsaving technology that gets rid of a lot of jobs would undermine the values of a social system.

- Small goats found on island population in high amount are due to evolutionary pressure to diversify their gene pool.
In other words, there are a lot of small goats found on the island because of the pressure on them to diversify their genes.
Biologist arg
- The high amount of small goats found on the island are NOT due to evolutionary pressure to diversify their gene pool.
- There is only more small goats because they are reproducing more successfully then their larger goat cousins.
A) Biologist says they do not reproduce due to evolutionary pressure.
B) The larger population of small goats is due to their reproductive success
C) Biologist tells us that the smaller goats are achieving greater reproductive success then the larger goats
D) This is correct bc the author is saying evolutionary pressure to diversify their gene pool is not the reason why for more small goats. There are more small goats simply because they are reproducing more.

- The decision to change the color of the cloak from red to green for Veronese painting is justified
- Tests showed the painting was applied after the paintings completion and red was not on the painting during the Veronese workshop.
- Likely another artist tampered with Veronese painting after it’s completion

- But copy of painting after death of Veronese had the cloak red
- Therefore unlikely copyist would make such drastic change right after death

Breakdown of Stimulus
- O18 is heavier than normal isotope of O
- In rain clouds O18 is rarer than O meaning there is a larger quantity of O in the rain cloud than O18.
- BUT during rainfall a higher proportion of all water molecules containing 018 will descend to the earth than O, this is where it get’s tricky because at first glance it sounds like it’s saying during rainfall there is more O18 then O but it is saying the proportion.
- If there is (100) in O18 and (900) in O when they are in the rain clouds and then during rainfall there is a higher proportion of all water molecules containing 018 that doesn’t mean there is more of O18.
-Say 30% of 100 is the proportion for O18 and then 20% of 900 for O then that leaves you with (30) in O18 and 180 in O which is still significantly more.
- It rains daily at the Amazon Forest but even though there is far less of O18 then O it managed to stay constant which surprised the scientists when looking at the measurements from the formation which began at Atlantic and went to the Amazon Forest.
A) This is the correct answer when you reference the second sentence which states 018 is rarer than O in rain clouds which means there is more O in rain clouds then O18 which this states exactly.
B) Incorrect because the stimulus never says there will be more 018 back to the second sentence
