Yes I am down too! Ill shoot you a pm with my email, send me yours as well! :)
I picked B thinking people who laugh more are just healthier due to their immune system being stronger.
Thats not the conclusion.
Conclusion says patients with greater tendency to laugh are helped more even if they giggle a little bit rather than people who barely laugh and when they do laugh they cackle loud as hell.
A is the flaw. The people who had a greater tendency to laugh always laughed politely at the comic books than the people who never laughed.
lol theres always that one question at the beginning that throws people off and it was this one!
I eliminated C and chose B. I thought B was like well this explosion has some properties of short & long but no.
C is much better because it said the duration WAS long but it had properties being short..so obviously properties other than duration come into play and were more important cause in the descriptive analysis they mentioned the short properties.
If they didn't matter then they would label it long and move on.
A - preventing from harming only themselves
P- preventing in public, you can smoke it up in private at home.
They are disagreeing on the purpose of the ban if it's purpose is to prevent people from harming themselves smoking OR preventing them from harming themselves & people who have no say in if they want to smoke
Misread A thinking A. medicine needs to be cost effective but the stimulus says "detailed report about A's cost effectiveness"
B has to be true because if A medicine cannot provide a report to the government, cannot conduct medical trials, and if the trials aren't performed then ... sorry A medicine will never become widespread.
So matters will continue to worsen for songbirds, despite reforestation.
But the author also mentions that it's the fragmentation not the forest size that will continue to threaten the songbird. So I thought hey these songbirds are like toy size puppies and don't need a lot of space to thrive & be safe.
Just like a toy sized puppies needs walls of a house/apartment to protect it from bald eagles. The songbirds need the surrounding trees to protector it from scary predators.
Think of a wall being knocked down and only to be rebuilt to the other side of a house..not closing off the puppies from predators.
C says the reforestation does just that. Plants trees in areas no where near the songbirds nests.
I selected B the first time around thinking this movie is definitely causing antisocial behavior
Reviewing this helped me understand why E is such a strong answer.
Jenkins thinks Firepower is NOT suppose to cause antisocial behavior because the director wouldn't do such a thing. BUT her position should be rejected cause it still causes antisocial behavior.
E says the flaw is like hey guys the directors film caused antisocial behavior and she intended to do so, because she made the movie.
I originally selected B, but after reviewing the answer choices..C makes a lot more sense.
The conclusion says "Its imperative that we adopt the alt code, which has been in successful use elsewhere for several years."
C says well the traditional code that we have is going under revision & it will fix all the problems.
So why would they need to adopt this alt. code? They don't! Cause they will have the traditional one revised soon which weakens and goes against the conclusion
Conclusion- consumption of turmeric, prolly slows cognitive decline.(yay!!)
c- MOST Singapore residents who are indian eat curries regularly (this does not strengthen anything about turmeric slowing cognitive decline!! it just says indian people who live in singapore eat curry regularly)
d- indians have MORE turmeric in their curry! (this strengthens the conclusion by saying YES TURMERIC DOES SLOW COGNITIVE DECLINE because Indian curry has lets say 70% turmeric in comparison to Singaporean that has 30%)
This was definitely a tricky question! So convoluted :( This is what I got.
Conclusion- Houses that had low ceilings and thin walls sold well
C- homes with low ceilings and thin walls are so common even before AC was cheap
C definitely weakens it.
B - BTS Milk can be safe IF SCANNED for antibiotics (missed the most important component for safeness) also the term "is as safe " is pretty strong language!
D - is very soft language. The BTS Milk can be safe only if they screen for high levels of antibiotics
D- supposes its true without having any evidence to confirm if the 2 phenomena are even correlated or would work
What if the candidate goes on tv praising tax reform (assuming that theyll gain votes) but in all reality the candidate is taking a 50/50 shot ?
I picked A thinking new neurons sometimes develop into midsized spiny neurons but it said "other parts of the brain". We dont know? The stimulus never mentioned "in areas of the brain other than the S" we only know about the part called striatum.
Match match match the language!
Midsized spiny neurons heal the striatum but if they do not develop in the striatum then D makes the most sense!
D: the new neurons (not spiny ones) will not heal the striatum because we NEED the spiny ones
D: Stopped eating cheeseburgers. Then started eating lean meat, fruits, and veggies. Now I am healthy
Well what about maybe just maybe the increase in your lean meat/fruit/veggie consumption had something to do with it?
24 is a son of a gun !
I picked D thinking omg minimum wage is $30 an hour and Country X factories will not be able to employ people and those people will all go out and buy a bunch of stuff. BUT the factories cant afford to pay minimum wage workers $30 an hour..so they will have to cut people ( weakens for sure)
Till I realized in the stimulus it said in the first sentence "minimum wage raise will decrease unemployment " that weakens it...
C is much better. It says well if Country X's factory workers are paid $60 per hour then how will it it decrease unemployment? If everyones making $60 an hour and minimum wage increased from $30 to $32 if Country X factory workers are making $60 ? No effect. At all.
K: Unwise to buy policy!! Insurance company wants to make money and is in business!!
B: Insurance company is in business to make money!! But to make money doesnt mean its unwise to buy policy!!
(What if the policy is freaking amazing?? )
I selected B at first : B is not denying K's premise and thinking hmm they DONT want to make money but buying a policy is wise & and they want to make money.
D: B is admitting that K is on the right track but doesnt mean that it is unwise to buy a policy just because a insurance company wants to make money.
I originally picked D thinking okay if an ad. agency targets fortnite to 12 year olds (who DO NOT control the nation's personal disposable income) they will not make money cause 12 yr olds do not have jobs.
I was wrong. Very wrong.
Looking at E makes much more sense. ANY ad agency that advertises fortnite to the population that controls 50% or MORE of the nation's personal disposable income WILL maximize their profit. DONT FORGET THE GRANDPARENTS! They have more money than a 12 yr old and grandparents get their grandkids gifts! If grandparents know about fortnite then they are much more CAPABLE of buying the game than a 12 yr old grandchild.
Hope this helped! Silly mistake :(
I picked A on the first go around without realizing WE DONT KNOW if cancer cell tumors are more similar to fat cells than to other cells!! What if they are more similar to hair cells(or something random).
C makes a lot more sense. Fat tissue needs blood vessels to form so fat tissue can grow. We need blood vessels to grow so cancer cells can grow(imagine a large tumor or something horrible).
It only makes logical sense that fat tissue depends on angiogenesis(formation of blood vessels) to grow. Because cancer cells also depend on formation of blood vessels
i misread and completely over looked this question!!
Okay so B basically means that the two conditions are negative emotions and poor physical health. The common cause is psychological stress.
To have psychological stress you need to be in a shitty mood & poor physical health. They casually influence one another!! Hoped this helped someone. I really had to dumb it now haha
my worst section is RC.. I read the power scores and they say read the entire passage and "summarize" as youre reading.. others say skim thru and highlight may terms/dates/names/etc. then look at questions and attack from the questions.. Who is very strong in RC and can give me a solid recommendation? I learn better from peers. Would love a zoom call with someone because Im at a 139 BECAUSE of LR and RC
Anyone have some tips on LR ? Would love to have a zoom call with someone who's strong on LR and maybe teach me a different approach? I read the powerbooks .. use Khan.. have Kaplan tutoring coming up.... Sometimes I learn better from peers.
im at a 139 .. struggling with rc and lr getting above average on lg
