I feel so discouraged and upset. I've taken 4 preptests lately and keep getting my base actual score of 157. No matter how much I study, practice, and complete wrong answer journals, I keep getting 157. I can get my score to around 163 after blind review, but I'm just so confused and upset that I can't get any higher in my normal attempts. I know 157 isn't the worst score but I was really hoping to do a little better than that. Does anyone have any tips, suggestions, personal experiences, or literally anything that could help me in this context? I am so lost as to what I can do to improve. Any advice, help, or words would be so greatly appreciated. :(

This has to be the stupidest question I've done so far. Got it wrong last week, watched this video. Got the same question on a drill today, got it wrong again, and had to come back to this video once again. So so so dumb i hate it
This still makes no sense to me... I chose D because if I had less supply in 1991 vs 1990, wouldn't that mean they consumed more coal in 1991? How were we supposed to infer that the number stayed constant...
I keep getting every high priority question wrong... Does anyone have any tips or advice to get better at them? I'm feeling super discouraged :(
I will try my best to explain!
The stimulus mainly says that they could save money, that's the big focus. The correct answer C is saying that money saved on electric bills could cover the cost of implementing this practice, thus saving money. If you negate that answer to no, it is not the case that the money saved on electric bills could cover the cost, then the argument falls apart since they would not be saving money by implementing it, they would be losing money. As JY said, it's not a perfect answer but it is the best answer out of the options.
"The amount steel-manufacturing plants would save on their electric bills by feeding heat into thermophotovoltaic generators would be sufficient to cover the cost of purchasing and installing those generators."
$ saved --> cover cost
/cover cost --> /$ saved
If you're saving money, you're covering the cost. If you can't cover the cost, you're not saving money.
I really hope that made some sense!
him calling answer E useless when that's what I chose... tough
When we first saw this question in the split method after reading only A, I was able to see and make the distinction between evolutionary psychology and theory in the answers since A didn't touch on the "theory" but solely on evolutionary psychology, but after reading B I completely forgot everything... I'm definitely pro split method on these passages.
I've gotten all the questions right by using the split approach! I would have never thought to do this on my own and was anxious to try it but damn it's nice (at least so far lol)
so happy I was able to think of the answer just by reading the stimulus, yay for progress!
Finally am getting them right! To all the people who commented saying to negate the possible answer choices in order to find the correct one, I owe you all a big kiss on the mouth
this has to be the stupidest answer to a question I have seen thus far... wtf
#help
When there is a strengthening/weakening question that uses analogies in the argument, does the correct answer always have to touch on the analogy?
Not a huge problem and would probably be difficult to fix/edit but caught my eye that at 3:35 in the video, it says context cause instead of context clause! #feedback
Team is the subject because that's what the sentence is about. Researchers is a modifier because it breaks down "team" into a subset ie. a team - of what? athletes? dentists? no, researchers! I find doing this out loud or even in my head helps with confusion around what the modifiers are. Hope that makes sense!
I find that having more modifiers/more complex sentences makes it easier for me to find the "kernel"! Loving these lessons so far! #feedback
I didn't choose B because it said "wasn't the core", I thought that even if it's not the core of their job, they could nonetheless still have to do those things as a part of their job... maybe I'm reaching idk. I chose E because if the business execs were cooperating with public officials, that wouldn't make business execs public officials since they're working with them to make decisions and thus actively not public officials themselves.
