#help would it be incorrect to think of "when, and only when" as "if, and only if" in terms of identifying the S v. N?

I took the exam tuesday and had LG-RC-LR-LG. I cannot figure out which LG was experimental. Can anyone with one LG give some insight? One game that sticks out had music duets with violinists and pianists I think, and it was difficult for me. I remember my RC having passages about a spanish novel being ironic and another was about a bill restricting women's labor laws. I can't remember an LR example off the top of my head, but so far I haven't seen any familiar questions on this forum. I'd probably remember if I had seen something or not.

I only had 1 LG section and it included the duet/musicians game.

For people who only had 1 LR section, do you remember if you had 25 or 26 questions? I had 2 LR sections and am trying to get a sense if most people had 25 or 26 questions in their section.

I’m interested in joining as well! Most likely going to cancel my August score and will take again in October. I also struggle with RC.

I’m not sure if you’ve been reading the thread for the August 2021 test, but it’s determined the RC section that counted was the one with a passage on Nigerian languages. People knew this by some having two LR sections or two LG sections and therefore had the RC section that counted. People had them in different order (I had that particular section second) so it’ll just be based on what you were given. Hope this helps!

Yes, this does help. I read through the thread and figured the Nigerian languages is the one that is scored.

Unfortunately that’s the RC section I did worse on so it probably makes sense to cancel my score. I just don’t know if trying to take it again in October is wise or if I’m rushing the process by taking it again in 8 weeks.

Advice: Cancel Score?

Hello! I could really use some advice. I took the June 2021 LSAT and got an average/good enough score for some of the schools to which I plan on applying. However, the score was not what I wanted so I took the August 2021 LSAT.

I felt good about 3 sections. Unfortunately, I did terrible on one of the two RC sections. On the first one I felt fine, but the second one I basically guessed on 18 questions because I ran out of time. I’m hoping that second RC section is the unscored. However, if it’s the section that is scored I am confident I will probably get a very low score (lower than my first LSAT).

Should I cancel my score and try again in October or should I take my chances and see which RC section ends up being scored? I worry if I don’t cancel I’ll have a very low score on my record.

If I cancel my August score, would taking it October 2021 be too soon/should I wait for the next application cycle or is 8 weeks enough time to focus on my weak areas?

Yes, mine crashed in the middle of my first section. I cannot get through on any of the LSAC phone number lines. I emailed LSAC and will wait to hear about rescheduling I guess.

I called LSAC about this yesterday and they said the June 2021 LSAT is part of the previous cycle. The current cycle began in August 2021. So taking it in January 2022 will be your 3rd exam of the cycle.

Need advice: Admissions Timeline

Hello! I am in need of some advice. I have taken the LSAT twice and most recently got a 159 on the October LSAT. While this is not the score I wanted, it is the score that has been officially sent to schools which I applied to in early October. I have a 3.8 GPA so I am split for several schools.

Does it make sense to leave my applications as is with the 159 on file or do I retake the January 2022 LSAT and ask for admissions to wait and review my application then?

(Unfortunately I am unable to take the Nov. LSAT as the test dates interfere with a prior personal commitment so I either keep my 159 or wait until January 2022). Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.

SAT/ACT Score on Apps

I've been completing a few applications and have noticed in the standardized test scores section some schools ask

  • Did you take ACT/SAT?
  • What was your ACT/SAT score?
  • The second question appears as optional. Do you all think it is necessary to add these scores? Is it bad if it is left blank without the score?

    Confirm action

    Are you sure?
