what would be a point of view opposite to Ruth's in this case?

Can this question be represented in "Lawgic"?

SEG = Stimulate Economic Growth // IRL = Interest Rate Lower

Since "in order to" is a sufficient condition indicator, context gives us: SEG → IRL

But the Author goes SEG and further concludes IRL

Any confirmation or feedback would be appreciated.

can we consider this question to be related to "ad hominem" we often talk about in FLAW method of reasoning?

PTC.S2.Q11 - translating into logic

In the stimulus, it says "A field of study is genuinely autonomous discipline by virtue of its having a unique methodology"

I translated that sentence to mean that IF a field of study has a unique methodology, THEN it is genuinely autonomous discipline.

But Superprep book explanation says "all that a field of study requires to be a genuinely autonomous discipline is a unique methodology" which I translate to mean that unique methodology is a necessary condition instead of sufficient condition.

I highly doubt that the Superprep book makes any mistake, but which translation is correct?

Thank you

This question was very confusing at first, but now it seems clearer. So for MSS/MBT questions containing other people's opinion and author's opinion, we should always choose answer that states author's opinion because that is what must be true based on stimulus...correct?

I am seeking ways to solve this kind of question faster. I would like some feedback on this: is it okay to get rid of (A), (B), and (E) quickly just by looking at their conclusions that do not match our second principle's necessary condition?

Did anyone get this question wrong because you were too caught up in the logic?

For me, A seemed attractive at first, but putting the answer choice into conditional logic gave me an invalid argument:

A → B (what answer choice A gives)

A

---------------

B

Clearly, answer choice (A) links up the two crucial elements, but I just want to hear different thought process that others had.

@ I was really struggling with time on LR and when I removed the time pressure, I actually finished the section in 30.

@ Were you still timing yourself with a timer when you actually removed the time pressure? I am interested in your drill method because when I cut my section time to 30, I find myself rushing and missing some questions that I should be getting correct.

30 mins per section

Hey guys,

I'm about to start taking sections with only 30 minutes instead of 35 to give myself more time pressure because

I found that 35 minutes feels a lot shorter during the test day. Has anyone tried doing this? If yes, what benefits

have you gained?

I want to videotape myself taking PTs to get a better sense of my test taking strategy.

How do you guys do it?
