omg this unlocked memories I didn't know I had lol
these lessons are so helpful, thank you!! these were the most intimidating questions for me - my brain would just shut down but mapping it out has made them feel so easy.
lol @ JY's reaction to the experiment design
#feedback - typo "...just made something up." should read "...just make something up."
I appreciate the conversation in this section around trading time for confidence!! Helpful way of framing the approach.
#feedback - in the video JY refers to what we have been introduced to as the "Sequential Approach" as the "Standard Approach"
#feedback - under "Summary" where it says "Standard Approach", is this referring to the approach we use during other RC passages? This seems to be referred to elsewhere as the
"Reading Method". Should this say "Sequential Approach" instead or am I misunderstanding? Thanks for taking a look at this for clarity.
keep it up! we can beat this thing :)
Hey, as someone else with ADHD I agree that this section has been very long. I have had to break it up into smaller chunks and tried to approach Weaken, Strengthen, and Evaluate as if they were their own sections. I also watch the videos on 1.4x speed which helps me maintain focus on the lessons. I hope this is a bit helpful, there is a lot of content and your perspective is absolutely valid.
What if all cars became electric? No. Clearly, if all cars became electric, that would be just fine. That would not constitute a failure of the necessary condition because that usage of “most” required us to understand that it could include “all.”
Here, he is pointing out a scenario in which "most" does not exclude all. In this case, if when we said "most" we excluded "all" (in other words, we meant "most but not all"), and we would only meet our environmental goals if "most cars" became electric, then by "all" cars becoming electric we would not meet our environmental goals.
However, if we understand that "most" can also include "all", then we can understand that most, including all cars being electric will help will allow us to meet our environmental goals.
Hey Annie! I got something a little different:
/supplies -> /maintain
If they do not get supplies, they cannot maintain the siege
/successful -> /political influence
If the siege is not successful, Tyrells lose political influence
Missing link (inference): /maintain -> /successful
If they do not maintain the siege, the siege is not successful.
Therefore, /supplies -> /political influence
If they do not get supplies, Tyrells lose political influence.
#feedback I enjoyed the throwback to past lessons in this one
I did not make this connection AT ALL lol I didn't understand how any of the answers related during my PT and picked one randomly....makes so much sense now of course...
