Hey 7Sagers, I'm leading BR calls for PT 82 (September 2017 LSAT).

I'm holding 6 sessions total. 2 for each of LR 1, LR 2, and RC. Each session will focus on only one section of PT 82.

All sessions will start at 6:30p ET and end at 8:30p.

Multiple sessions are meant to accomodate people's various schedules and to reduce class size per session.

What happens in these sessions?

I'll ask students to state which questions were circled for BR. We'll work through the questions the group nominates. I generally try to ask students questions to elicit the right response. Please wear headphones and try to be in a quiet place.

How should I prepare?

Take PT 82 and have the questions you'd like to BR ready. The first thing I'll ask everyone is which questions they'd like to BR.

Hi, I am looking for a study buddy that would like to talk overall strategy and daily insights working on the core curriculum.

I am not completely new to the lsats, I have done a complete package of Power score and Blueprint (for 3 months) but my first official lsat take was a fiasco. Thanks to some digging on Reddit, I found 7Sage and his holiness, J.Y, and am turning over a new leaf. Instead of focusing on getting to the PT stage asap (which, I have previously done and miserably failed) or just trying to memorize mechanical skills, I am really trying to change the way I think with the materials in CC. So I am taking my time absorbing the lessons, taking notes, and intensively BRing with the drill sets. Recently, I found myself coming up with different methods and ways of thinking that I would love to share with a buddy and would love to have someone that could keep me accountable.

If you could use an insistent and eager study buddy for your CC journey, PM me!

FYI: I am currently finishing up the Intro to Reading Comprehension section, am in the EST zone and is open to meeting online.

Hey Everyone,

Our first meeting will be on Sep 30, 3 PM EDT. We will be going over PT 74. I am giving myself and everyone who took the September LSAT at least a weekend off, if they would like. So we will not be meeting this coming Saturday, September 23.

I am posting the link below to the meeting. The requirement for this meeting is to take PT 74 timed - no exceptions. If you have done this PT before, I recommend taking it again as a repeat. Please do not look at the answers or grade the PT before hand. Looking at answers before hand undermines the blind review process both for you and everybody else. I have noticed I learn the most when I have to blind review a PT with someone without knowing what the correct answer is. Also, try to take the PT as close as possible to the meeting date. That way you can remember exactly what you were thinking under time when you took this PT.

Here is the link to the meeting. Just click the link at the specified date and time and I will see you there.

Hey everyone,

October is halfway over and we only have a month and a half left before our December test! So lets keep working hard and lets get our dream score. (3(/p)

This week we will be going over PT 70. Both session will be taking place on the weekend at 7 pm (eastern time). I was finally able to get that time slot open. :)

We will be doing the same thing as last time. Please do the test timed and bring a blank, unmarked copy to the review session. We will be going over the questions. For Reading comprehension, please arrive on time. Once the session starts, unless we do two passages, there is literally no way to stop and review everything if you arrive late. :(

Also, not a lot of people showed up to the RC session and that's okay. If there is not a lot of interest in RC again this time, I will no longer do these session. So if you are interested, please do show up.

I am posting below the link to the meeting. I'll see you all there! (3(/p)

Fourth call info:

Take PT 64 and BR on your own before the call.

Submit 2-5 questions you want to review here: https://goo.gl/forms/TAUZcRjEKRrHlpOC3

Note: We will try to limit the calls to under 2 hours. We will review LR questions first and only review RC if we have time.

We will not be reviewing LG.

This step is important: Come prepared to speak through how you approached the question you submitted. If more than one of us had trouble on the same question, we can each have an opportunity to speak through our thought process/which choices we were stuck between. The rest of the group then discusses.

Sign up for Discord and add side braid#1597. It is helpful if you comment on this post if you plan on joining so I can send the link to our server and additional info to your inbox.

My goal for this study group is for everyone to both contribute and benefit from each other's success. I want to help you get to that next level and I'm asking for your help to get me there as well.

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for coming. It really was great seeing you all and I hope it was helpful.

The next session will be on October 7th, 3 PM EDT. We will be going over PT 78.

Everyone who is gearing up for either the December or February LSAT is welcome to join.

The requirement for this meeting is to take PT 78 timed - no exceptions.

In addition, please come to the meeting with a clean copy of the two LR sections from the test and a list of the questions you had circled for blind review and that you would like to go over in that meeting.

Hi!

I'm based in Manhattan, and I'm interested in starting a study group for the upcoming December 2017 LSAT starting this week. I would like a group of people who already have a grasp of the fundamentals, but anyone is welcome.

I'll be using materials mostly from 7Sage and Blueprint as well as the Powerscore Bibles. I welcome supplemental materials, if you'd think it would enhance our LSAT prep.

Please contact me if you are interested, and I'll reply as soon as I can.

Well, another test has come around, and for many of us, that means it's time for all of this hard earned knowledge and ability to get put to use. We've dedicated months if not years of our lives to this test and to the opportunities it can lead to. Just remember that your LSAT score won't be earned on Saturday. It was earned in the curriculum and in the problem sets. It was earned in the dozens of PT's and BR's and study groups. It was earned on that one question you thought you'd never understand but that you refused to let go until you mastered it, and it was earned on endless LG fool-proofing. Saturday is not when all this happens, it's simply when it ends.

7Sage Study Groups

Hello 7Sagers!

We are launching new study groups, and also making a few adjustments in order to make these an even better resource. With lots of new workshops happening, it seemed like study groups could be tweaked in order to provide a more distinct experience. So instead of open sessions—which really is not how study groups work at all—we will coordinate groups openly on the forums to allow groups to bring members in, and then close groups once a core membership has been established. We hope this promotes a larger number of groups which will be smaller, more intimate, and better able to develop unique dynamics and close working relationships. So keep an eye out for the new groups forming soon, and many more to come!

Same deal as Oldies but Goodies - just different title!

RC got you like this?

https://m.popkey.co/621615/MYrv7.gif

Thanks to Josh (a.k.a @"Cant Get Right" ), we're going to work on changing that!

While Josh will continue to handle (primarily) LR from the old PTs, I'll now be hosting an RC-focused Oldies but Goodies, following Josh's PT schedule along the way. Eye-roll-inducing, artsy fartsy passages? Obnoxiously dull and dizzying science passages? Inference Questions? Obligatory GIFs?? Yes to all!!

If you're able, swing by after having already done the RC section of the week. We'll breakdown one or two passages, the respective answer choices, and strategies for expertly and efficiently moving through the section. Our sessions will always be best with input, so don't be afraid to chime in!

Let's make RC something to look forward to!

So what will be going down in these meetings and what do you need to do to prepare?

These classes are a live, Sage guided forum to help address whatever it is you're studying within LR. We'll use older tests to work through questions, discuss question types, break down argument structures, and analyze answer choices. We'll also talk general LR strategy and pacing. To prepare, just use whatever portion of the week's homework that is relevant to your current studies.

    Hi,

I had a breakthrough in my scores in logic games by employing POE for CBT Qs and looking for MBT/CNBT and moving on once I find MBT/CNBT in MBT/CNBT Qs. In particular, I think the perspective of trying to eliminate CNBT ACs (=wrong ACs) in CBT Qs really made the whole process easier and more efficient. (This is what Mike Kim suggests in the Trainer)

But sometimes when the right answer of a CBT Q is (A) or (B), or when the ACs are designed in a way that makes it harder to see if each AC is CNBT (whether it's because of the AC is really wordy or because CNBT ACs don't immediately jump out like they do in other Qs), eliminating 4 CNBT ACs seems counterintuitive.

So at this point, I am a bit puzzled in terms of my Q type strategy for logic games. While it's incredibly helpful that I actively, consciously look for CNBT ACs to eliminate in CBT Qs, elimination is inefficient in some CBTs. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Titus is LSAT confidence level goals

After next week this study group is going private.

    Hey,

I was wondering if there were any people in the Chicago city area that would like to get together to be study buddies? Ideally it would be someone who is still going through the CC and wants to have and be a support system. We would all exchange resources, help each other gain insights to concepts, and overall work together to reaching our goals. Inbox me if you are interested.

    Hey guys!

I am planning to write the LSAT in September/December, depending on how far I get with my studying this month. I do not have school right now and I only work once a week so I literally have all month to study diligently for the September LSAT. Right now, I am just finishing up the core curriculum, although I tend to follow a slightly different approach in terms of getting the most time effective studying done.

Let me know if any of you are interested in either doing PT's together or are in the same boat as I am in.

I can meet anywhere in the lower mainland. I prefer meeting in Surrey or Vancouver though.

Admin Edit: Please don't post titles in all caps, the admins are sensitive.

Hey everyone! I've always been interested in starting/joining an LSAT study group because I feel thats the best way to learn and motivate yourself for the test. However, someone on Top-Law-Schools has taken it amongst themselves to start a group. I wanted to help him out and post it along here to see if anybody was interested. Obviously, it would have to take place around the NYC metropolitan area. If anyone is interested, please follow this link:

    http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=271964&p=9690552#p9690552

I understand many of you are still in undergrad or work full/part time (I'm doing both) but don't let this stop you from joining. With everyone's input, I'm sure we can figure out a time that works best for everyone. I think this would be very beneficial as we'll all learn from each other and come June 2017, we'll be more than ready to tackle the test. Hopefully we can get this going! Best of luck!

    Confirm action

    Are you sure?
