About me... I went through most of college not knowing I had ADHD, so I spent years thinking I just wasn't trying hard enough when really I just learned differently than how my schools taught. This helped me realize that most people don't need to work harder — they need to figure out what's actually holding them back. This is the core of how I coach: no one-size-fits-all prep, everything tailored to how you specifically think through problems.
By figuring out my own way to learn the LSAT I went from a 151 to a 177. The increase wasn't talent or one breakthrough — it was months of grinding until I finally learned how to learn the LSAT. Once I figured that out, progress came fast and studying actually became fun. That process, and the three years and 1,000+ hours of coaching since, taught me what it takes to improve and how to help people get there faster than I did.
What I do:
Review your 7Sage analytics before every session so I already know where your biggest point gains are
Build custom drill sets for your specific weaknesses with difficulty levels, set sizes, and clear benchmarks
Send a detailed study plan after every session with everything you need for the week
Teach you how to diagnose your own mistakes so the hours you study on your own are actually effective
Work through problems with you live to catch the mental habits that are actually costing you points
Good fit for students who:
Feel like their score doesn't reflect the work they're putting in
Understand explanations after the fact but keep making similar mistakes
Want real structure in their study plan, not just "do more practice tests"
Want help structuring not just what to study, but how — things like session length, timing, and building a consistent daily routine
Here's what that looks like in practice:
One of my students had been stuck in the mid 150s. Turns out she was 0 for 6 on one specific question pattern and solid on everything else. Two weeks of targeted work and her next practice test was a 167. Another student came to me after scoring a 165 on the actual LSAT. The habit that got her there — dialing in on small details — had started working against her. She was overcomplicating questions when the right move was to step back. We figured out when to use that mode and when to switch gears. Six weeks later she scored a 175.
Pricing:
$150/hour- first session flat rate of $100
No packages, no commitments — week by week
Sessions over Zoom, usually 90 minutes
100% refund guarantee. Finding the right coach matters, and I want you to see how I work before you commit. If after your first session it's not the right fit, I'll refund you the full amount. No questions asked.
Getting started:
I've got room for about 5 more students right now. We start with a free 15–20 minute consultation so I can learn where you're at.
Drop a comment below or DM me on 7Sage
Or text me: 801-645-3233
I'm also running a free weekly LSAT class — Thursdays at 7pm MT on Zoom, one skill per week with live question walkthroughs. Drop a comment or DM me if you want in.
A little about me. I made it through most of college before finding out I had ADHD, which meant years of assuming I was just lazy when the truth was I learned differently than the way I was being taught. That's what showed me most people don't actually need to grind harder — they need to find what's actually holding them back. It's the whole basis of how I coach: no one-size-fits-all prep, everything built around how you specifically think through problems.

Hi y’all,
I’m looking for a tutor to work with once a week from September through January.
Where I’m at: testing February 2027, goal is 171+. Two official takes, 157 and 159. Best PT is a 163 with a 170 blind review, average 154. I have a 150% time accommodation. I took the summer off and I’m just getting back into it.
What I need: formal logic, mostly. Conditional reasoning is at 58%, and diagramming, must be true, quantifiers, and sufficiency vs necessity are all around 50%. A conditional drill at 150% time came back at 53%, so it isn’t timing. I don’t have a method.
RC is the other one. Around 20/27 and flat for a year, even though I finish with 15 to 20 minutes left on the clock.
My setup: 7Sage Live, Comprehensive study plan, about 13 hours a week. Mornings before work plus weekends.
What I’m looking for: one hour a week, Friday evenings if possible, September through January. I’m in Central time. Budget is $50/hr. Experience with accommodated testers is a plus.
Comment or DM me if you’re interested. Thanks
Bri
Hey everyone! I’m Jason and I’m offering private LSAT tutoring! www.sheffermancoaching.com
My Approach: My tutoring is very hands on and personalized because that was the style of tutoring I needed but never got. I realized most LSAT tutors are the natural test takers not needing to have studied much. The LSAT did not come naturally to me…I took the LSAT 6 times starting from a 147 to eventually a 173. I needed someone to understand things at my level (the very bottom) and to walk me through the process. I also needed a more visual approach.
Limited Availability: I keep my roster small on purpose because I get genuinely involved with everyone I work with. My tutoring works best when it feels like a friend who’s had similar experiences rather than you feeling like I’m counting the minutes until the session is over.
A bit about me: I studied the intersection of philosophy and cognitive psychology and TA’d in formal logic, was the commencement speaker and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2025 and worked as a startup corporate lawyer for Cooley LLP. Check out my website for more info!
I studied harder for the LSAT than anything in my life. I reviewed every question, I put in the hours, and my score stayed flat. The problem was blind spots I could not see on my own. If you are doing the work and not moving, that is usually why.
I'm Tanner. I went from a 151 to a 177, and I have spent the three years since coaching privately through my practice, Tailored LSAT Coaching, over 1,000 hours one-on-one. I also went through most of college not knowing I had ADHD, so I spent years assuming I was lazy when I just learned differently than I was being taught. That is the whole basis of how I coach. Most students do not need to grind harder. They need to find the one thing holding them back.
Before every session I pull up your 7Sage analytics so we start with the diagnosis already done. One student came in convinced she was weak at LR across the board. Her data said something far more specific: 0 for 6 on a single question pattern, solid on nearly everything else. Three weeks of targeted work and she was hitting 168s. Another student was spending close to two minutes on the questions she got wrong and fifteen seconds on the ones she got right. She thought she had a speed problem. She had a process problem: rushing the front end of a question and then burning ninety seconds untangling the confusion that caused. Once she slowed down where it counted, the same questions took her forty-five seconds.
What you get:
Your analytics reviewed before every session, so no time is spent figuring out what is wrong
Custom drill sets for your specific gaps, with difficulty levels, set sizes, and clear benchmarks for moving up
A written diagnostic after every session naming the one thing costing you the most points and exactly what to do about it that week
My handout library, built over three years, with a skill-specific guide for whatever we are working on
Every session recorded, so you can rewatch any explanation
The habit of diagnosing your own mistakes, so the twenty-plus hours you study without me actually count
As one student put it: "He is the best kind of teacher, someone who teaches you how to fish."
Good fit if you:
Feel like your score does not reflect the work you are putting in
Understand explanations afterward but keep making the same mistakes
Want real structure, not "take more practice tests"
Want help with how to study, not just what to study
How it works:
Free consultation call, 20 to 30 minutes, so I can learn where you are at
Diagnostic session: $150 flat, fully refundable
Ongoing sessions: $180/hour, 90 minutes over Zoom
100% refund guarantee. Finding the right coach matters. If the diagnostic session is not the right fit, I refund it in full, no questions asked.
Getting started: I have room for a handful of new students right now. Text or email gets the fastest response, DMs work too.

Looking for a tutor in Canada, ideally in Alberta. But, anywhere is fine.
My accolades are above, but here's a few more: students of mine have gone on to break into the 170's, and have been accepted to Colombia, The University of Chicago, Stanford, and Harvard.
I was where you are now: I had a test to crush and a gulf between my skills and achieving that T-14 goal score. Well, I did what any person would do who didn't know what they were doing; I went searching for advice from people who had already achieved success. I read for hours and hours, the accounts of people who had received perfect and near perfect scores. Their advice had a very few common threads:
-Find a major prep company and completely work through all of their strategy lessons and drills
-Take many sections and tests both in untimed and timed formats
-Blind review all timed tests (taking them again entirely without a timer)
-Carefully dissect all incorrectly answered questions
At the time, the LSAT was still on paper and so explanations for LSAT questions were scarce. This was to my benefit and it can be to yours as well. That means relying on the explanations of 7Sage should only be done after you've exhausted considerable effort trying to dissect the questions yourself, given the correct answer. If 7Sage's explanation doesn't make sense or you are curious to hear a question explained in a different way, well that's what a tutor is for! I'll add just one bit advice to that which I found in my research: learn and understand any vocab word related to argumentation that the LSAT uses, which you are unfamiliar with.
If you'd like a tutor to help you through the rough patches and plateaus, I'm eager to join you where you're at on your LSAT journey. I use an "I do, we do, you do" approach to new materials. I'll model the appropriate techniques, whether that means stem analysis, argument analysis, passage annotation, answer prediction, answer choice selection, or trap answer analysis. From there I'll check to see if you've got the basics and ask you to take the next step at various points. Then it will be your job to walk us through an example. Finally, I'll only observe as you begin a new example and work through it beginning to end, giving my analysis or commentary at the end.
Sessions are typically two hours, once or twice a week depending on availability and the student's timeline. We'll often spend the first third/half of the session reviewing any questions that have been flagged for review by you. From there we'll jump into new materials.
My hourly rate changes based on whether you buy a package of hours or seek to pay session by session. It is as follows:
20 hour package - $70/hr
10 hour package - $80/hr
Session by session - $90h
Hi, I'm Nick! I work primarily with students who feel stuck despite doing a lot of practice and who need a clearer system for understanding why they’re missing questions.
I went from 158 --> 178 in 4 months by learning how to diagnose my mistakes and change how I approached the test. I now work with students using that same approach, focusing on underlying reasoning issues that lead to fast, durable score improvements. I’m a good fit for students who want structured feedback and are willing to think carefully about their mistakes—not just do more questions.
You can find more about my tutoring philosophy, scheduling, and availability on my website. Happy to answer any questions!
I'd like to look for a 1-on-1 tutor based in Shanghai, mainly to supervise my assignment completion progress since I'm bad at self-discipline.
The ideal tutor would be someone who raised his/her score from the 150s to the 170s. (Currently stuck in the 150s)
My budget would be $40/h, with probably a total of 15-25 hrs.
My next test day is at the end of November, so 2hr/week starting from now.
If you're interested, please let me know, and I'm open to negotiation (but please please don't expect a huge change).

I've been teaching and tutoring the LSAT since 2002 - for almost 25 years. I was the LSAT Product Manager at a major test prep company for several years, have helped write and revise multiple LSAT courses, and have been tutoring independently since 2012. My approach is based on working smarter, not harder; being efficient in the approach to the questions, and having a repeatable set of steps based on question types. I generally find that most of my methodology works well as a complement to 7Sage curriculum (question stem first, low-res summaries, etc) with some added nuances I've learned over my long LSAT career.
I have some space in my fall schedule and am offering a couple of different options for students. The normal policy is that I offer a free phone consultation (up to 30 minutes) for students to ask questions before scheduling. Right now, I am also offering (these are in lieu of the phone consultation) the first two hour session at half price, or a "no-risk" first session, which is scheduled for two hours but gives the student the option at the end of the first hour to end the session an pay nothing, but otherwise will be a regular two hour session billed at the two hour rate.
I generally schedule between noon and 6 pm Eastern, Tues-Sat, and my base rates are $100/hour for a two hour session. I do offer a discounted prepaid nonrefundable session if booked a week in advance, and am sometimes available for shorter sessions or meetings after my normal hours for a slightly higher rate. I never have students pay for more than the next session ahead of time, so you're not locked into a huge purchase of hours if you hit your target early, change your plans, or decide it's not a good fit.
If you're interested in more information, please message me and I'll send you my email to get more details about sessions and scheduling. Thanks!
Hi all! I'm Kerry, and I'm currently taking students for the October 2026 LSAT and beyond.
I'm a magna cum laude J.D. graduate of Michigan Law, and I also have an M.A. in Law from Yale University. After leaving BigLaw and transitioning into parenthood, I began tutoring the LSAT full-time in 2015. I've helped hundreds of students gain admission to dozens of law schools all around the U.S. and Canada. I have also contracted with multiple law schools and undergrad instiutions to teach or tutor LSAT prep, especially through their diversity pipeline programs. Moreover, I actively tutor law students and bar exam prep and have taught First Amendment and Media Law as a law school adjunct professor.
My emphasis is on true comprehension--there is simply no substitute for truly understanding what is being asked of you, what your job is, and how to do that job. I endeavor to break down the thought processes that high scorers engage in, step by step, so that you can progress quickly and consistently.
I live in the Detroit area, Eastern time zone, and I tutor five days a week (Tuesdays and Saturdays are my days off). I keep a wide range of hours to make myself available to students across various time zones, but I prefer to work between 9 a.m. Eastern and 10 p.m. Eastern. At the moment, my widest availability is Fridays and Sundays, though I have a few spots on other days.
My preferred session length is 90 minutes, though I'm happy to work with you if you have a preference for shorter or longer. My base rate is $120 per hour ($180 for a single 90-minute sessions), and I do offer package discounts of up to 20% off for a package of 20 sessions or more). Other discounts are available for smaller packages.
Please reach out to me at kerry@lsatmaven.com and mention that you found me on 7Sage!

Hello Everyone!
If you just got your score back and are disappointed, I know the feeling. I want to help you make a plan for success. I love to help students learn that the LSAT is a conquerable test! Let’s start with a consult so that we can chart everything out, so I know what your goals are and you know how we can best reach them together! For a bit of background here is what working together typically looks like:
Initial Consult (Getting You Set Up for Success):
Our first session is all about understanding you: your goals, your timeline, and how you learn best. We’ll cover:
• Your background and any prior LSAT prep
• Your strengths (e.g., Logical Reasoning vs. Reading Comprehension)
• Your target score and law school goals
• What you’ve tried so far and what has/hasn’t worked
From there, I’ll build a customized study plan tailored to you. Our typical ongoing session structure:
• Strategic Review – We review recent practice, track progress, and break down missed questions in detail.
• Targeted Lesson – Focused instruction based on your needs (e.g., flaw questions, strengthen/weaken, RC main point, timing strategy).
• Drill & Practice – Apply concepts immediately with guided drills and live problem-solving.
• Recap & Homework – Clear takeaways and a structured plan for what to work on before our next session.
My goal is not just to improve your score, but to help you develop a repeatable system for approaching every question with confidence. I like to be very hands on and supportive throughout your studying to both make sure you are learning to the best of your ability and that you have a good accountability partner! You will leave each class knowing what to do in our time apart!
Reach out via chat or post a comment and Ill reach out to you- let's get started this week on mastering the LSAT together!
Best,
John
Hello! My name is Greg, and I specialize in personalized LSAT tutoring tailored to each student’s unique needs and learning style. Since 2020, I’ve helped multiple students achieve perfect 180 scores and guided dozens more into the 170s through an adaptable, supportive, and results-driven approach. Admitted to the bar in 2025, I also provide guidance beyond the LSAT, including law school admissions strategy, school selection, and application navigation.
Outside of tutoring and law, I enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, and playing chess. I believe balance is an important part of success, and I encourage students to build sustainable study habits alongside their academic goals.
Hi there,
My name is Carl, and I've been tutoring the LSAT since the early 2000s, online and in person. These days I mostly work online over Zoom.
I would never tell someone that it's impossible to self-study for the test or that a tutor is absolutely required, by any means. I would say, however, that having the right guidance at the right moment in your studies can both save you a lot of frustration and streamline the process of improving your score.
Here are some of the ways I've worked with students:
Plateau Busting - I specialize in helping people move the needle who've been stuck on a plateau for a long time. There are natural points where people get stuck (high 150s, mid 160s, etc.), and I've developed methods for helping people push past those sticking points.
Ground-Floor Up Rebuilds - Sometimes, the problem is you've never really established the baseline skill set. You've poked around, started and stopped, and your core skills never full gelled. I can help you rebuild the necessary foundation to set yourself up for success.
Troubleshooting - Sometimes all you need is someone to help when you hit a sticking point. You're doing great overall, but a specific question type is killing you. It can even be a specific few questions. I excel at having fruitful, thoughtful discussions of some of the finer points of the test.
Extreme Score Goals - There aren't a lot of tutors who can help you move a 173 to a 176. I have been able to do that for students. It's a very specialized skill set, working with those already in or near the 99th percentile, as once you're in that upper score range, you're just not making any easy mistakes any more.
Tutoring of Last Resort - I've had some clients come to me who've tried everything else. Some of them have literally done every single question available at least once. If nothing else has worked, I might be able to help.
I offer a free one-hour evaluation session to all potential clients. It's an hour for us to meet, discuss your troubles, have me demonstrate my tutoring style, and have you ask any questions you have. So, please, reach out if you'd like to schedule an evaluation with me to see if I can help you.
The easiest way to reach out is to use the scheduler at my website: https://www.ivorytowertutoring.com/schedule/ . You can also shoot me a DM here or respond to this post.
Hi everyone! I'm Ezra, and I scored a 180 on the September LSAT around a month ago, so the grind of PTs, blind review, and wrong-answer journaling is still very fresh for me. I am new to tutoring the LSAT, but I tutored economics in college and I love teaching this exam. I firmly believe that with a strong foundation, good study habits, and proper dedication, most people can reach their goal scores.
My specialty is closing gap between blind review and timed scores, and working on efficient study plans. These were key to how I scored a 180 and I have put a lot of hours into developing tactics for them. If you're regularly getting questions right in blind review that you are missing under time pressure, or your PT scores are plateauing short of where you know they should be, I am here to help!
How I work:
We start by assessing your performance and how you are studying, to pin down where you could improve.
Whether its pacing, second-guessing, or trouble with specific question types, we will develop targeted solutions.
We will work on tailoring our sessions so that they work best for you. Everyone learns best differently, and we will spend time making sure that your study time is spent is optimally and efficiently.
I work best with students who already have some familiarity with the exam and the question types. If you're brand new to the LSAT, I'd suggest going through the 7Sage foundations, then reach out.
I am offering 1-on-1 sessions. I prefer 90-minute sessions, but can do 60-minutes as well if you have less time.
Rates:
I am currently pricing my 60-minute sessions at $60 and 90-minute sessions at $85.

Feel free to dm me here or comment below with any questions! 😁 (I can provide proof of score if requested)
