I scored a 170 on my second LSAT in June while on two hours sleep and promptly took the summer off for personal reasons. My first one I was terribly sick in Jan.

I still feel like I have more left in the tank. I've been studying for the past couple weeks and I am not scoring where I would feel comfortable in the October test (averaging 172 I would say on PT), mostly due to sloppiness in reviewing and forgetting some trivial basics in strategy. I still feel like I could make some improvements by sharpening up my basics. I

I was planning on submitting my most important apps in the first week of October and sending an update if my score improved. Finishing the rest of my apps in the intermittent period between taking the test and getting my score.

While a great score, of course, my LSAT score is the main fault in my app for what my goals are. Everything else is in a comfortable spot.

Would there be any downside to just moving to November? Should I just stick out October?

Edit: I also have to go down into the 2000s for PT material now, lol.

Hi everyone!

I am taking the November LSAT & want to improve my score, but I am struggling between classes, work, and my internship this semester to find time to take multiple full-length practice tests per week. What do y'all recommend I should do instead? Drills? Videos? I'm open to all advice!!! Thank you!

Hi there. I've been hearing conflicting things about this topic. From what I've heard, as long as you don't completely mess up, there;s a very good chance of getting into a Biglaw firm upon graduation at a T14 schools. I've heard, too, that it is likely to get into a Biglaw position at any T50 school, though the drawbacks sometimes is that you are limited in a regional sense. For example, Boston College sent many many students to Biglaw firms, but mainly in the Boston area. Thoughts on this? Trying to decide, as someone who wants to get into Biglaw after law school, whether I should even consider applying to schools outside the T14 or not. I've just heard conflicting things.

Drills

Hi, I am having a really hard time understanding the set up for the drills. Is there an easier more user friendly interface ? Can the drills be randomized ?

1

Hey guys, how long do you guys spend when learning a section of LR. I feel like I take weeks learning a new topic before moving on to the next one. Any tips will help? Crying here at Starbucks while trying to study. I feel like I am taking way too long to understand something. Thanks!!

For example, to understand RRE questions, its taking me like 3 weeks and counting.

what is the actual test date

The test dates say November 6-9. I haven't registered yet. How do I make sure that I will be taking the test on 9th. I am planning to take it remotely. Do they assign you to a date? Or you can choose your date and time for remote test?

Dyslexia

I was wondering if anyone here has dyslexia? I have pretty bad dyslexia. Whenever I read words begin to look like mush and my brain can’t process words the same way someone without dyslexia can. I was wondering if anyone here has dyslexia and if there is anything you do / take that helps with it.

I just got my results for my September LSAT and I scored lowered than I had on the practice exams. I was scoring in the high 160s prior to the exam and I got a 159 on the official LSAT. I stopped studying after I took my LSAT to continue my job and prepare for school. Would it be too difficult and short of time to take the November LSAT? I will also be attending school and I would only have one month to prepare. With attending school, I am slightly concerned my studying may conflict with studying for my midterms. I want to get my applications out early so I am worried if I take a later LSAT, my chances will deter. I am also planning to graduate this year, so would it be better I take a gap year? I am also concerned I will not be able to fill up the time during the gap year. Overall, I am just looking for some advice regarding if taking the November LSAT seems feasible in my condition. Thank you!

Hey everyone,

Would love any advice about how to strategically approach this application cycle. It's my first time so I'm a bit nervous. The goal is to get into a T14 to study technology law. I work full-time and am willing to wait until next cycle if a top school isn't in the cards for me.

My numbers:

  • 3.84 LSAC GPA from a top 40 undergrad with a STEM degree in cognitive science.
  • I took the LSAT for the first time in September and received a 169. PTs ranged 169-173.
  • I know admissions is mostly interested in the numbers, and I'm in between 25th and 50th percentile in both categories for the T14. My absolute dream would be to attend Northwestern (also applying to Georgetown, Duke, UVA, and Penn, still deciding on the rest). My question is - would it be better to apply Northwestern Early Decision with what I have now or retake the LSAT in November? Do I have even a slight shot?

    For more context, soft factors:

  • First-generation American and first-generation law student
  • 3 years full-time work experience (post-grad) in the digital advertising space. Completed 4 relevant internships during undergrad and am now in a Manager position. Resume includes several prestigious healthcare/pharma companies
  • Earned a data privacy law certification from IAPP (organization for privacy lawyers) by passing their exam, which is apparently a gold standard in that specialty and is mostly awarded only to practicing lawyers. AI Governance certification from the same organization is pending.
  • 3 letters of recommendation, two from professors (one of which was a research supervisor), one from a former manager
  • Two semesters each of undergraduate research and TA experience, helped to develop curriculum for a course
  • Leadership positions in several student organizations
  • Personal Statement about how I entered the digital marketing world after majoring in neuroscience and how data privacy concerns have led me to pursue law school
  • Diversity Statement about my identity as a Russian-speaking American (family from Ukraine) and being impacted by the situation in that region, how being first-gen motivated me to pursue law and why I believe it's an asset
  • Personalized Why X for nearly every school I'm applying to
  • Thank you all so much for even reading this :') appreciate your help!

    ADHD testing in -person

Does anyone have an experience of testing in-person with ADHD accommodations (i.e. extra time)? I am worried I will get to testing center and somehow my test will not have accommodations or the proctor won't be aware if that makes sense

Just wanted to share my experience in case it may be helpful to anyone, as I know I found some of these posts comforting while going through the test process.

My original diagnostic score from November of 2023 with no prep was a 161. I then began prepping casually on Khan Academy and scored PTs of 163, 162, and 162. Once I decided to commit to the LSAT I began a different test prep program other than 7Sage and registered for the June 2024 exam. Within this program I had these PT scores 162, 160, 164, 158, 161, 165, 164, 165. On the June LSAT I scored a 162 and was extremely disappointed because I had made nearly no progress from my diagnostic. Luckily I was able to get my money back from that other prep program and my friend recommended 7sage.

After starting individual tutoring with 7sage I immediately started feeling better and more confident and planned to take the September LSAT. My PT scores were as follows: 164 (174 BR), 167 (169 BR), 168 (169 BR), 169 (170 BR), 169 (176 BR), 167 (BR 168). Then, my last PT before the LSAT did not go to plan due to testing environment conditions and I got a 163. Obviously this shook my confidence a little bit but after talking with my tutor I was able to relax a little bit. I ended up getting a 171 on the September LSAT, and while I am confident if I continued to study I could improve even more, I am feeling pretty good about executing on test day and earning my pb for a timed score.

I felt so defeated after the June test, and even before checking my results from September I was so anxious that I would not improve my score. All this to say I highly recommend the individual tutoring program and always go into test day confident and knowing that you could get your best score yet on the official test.

Hi everyone! I am currently studying for the November LSAT and possibly the January LSAT as well. I am looking for study buddies, but also providing a forum where people can ask questions, express frustrations, and interact with like minded individuals. My discord has been giving me trouble, and frankly, I am not on it very much. I was thinking maybe an instagram group chat? If you are interested my instagram is @ anastasiaaabeee , dm me saying "study group" so I know to add you to the group chat!!

    Hi everyone,

I took PT 123 last night and noticed that all the passages were in the 1-2 difficulty range. I received a good score on the test, but now I am wondering if it is a little inflated? This would be a 5 point improvement since my last PT 3 weeks ago, so I also think I could have just got better.

Is this not a concern because of how the conversion works?

    TIA!

Hi everyone, I'm looking to create a study group for the upcoming LSATs. Whether you are planning to take it in October, November, or in January. I want to have a supportive group where we drill together and share our experiences/tips we have all gathered so far. The process of navigating LSAT prep material and the law school process over all can feel isolating and scary. If anyone is in the same boat or is just looking for a place to vent lol, drop your discords and I can make a chat.

Hey guys, I'm loosely following the LSAT Trainer's scheduled recommendations for PTs and Drill Set. I know I can take the Drill Sets on LawHub, but I would prefer to have my metrics recorded on 7sage for later analysis. I understand that I can generate new Drill Sets on 7sage, but is there any way I can take the LawHub drill sets on 7sage as well?

    Help!

For months, I had been scoring consistently relatively well on practice tests, taking two tests a week, but for the past two weeks I have been scoring about 5 points worse despite maintaining the same study practices. The other day I hit a score that was the same as my diagnostic test and today, even though I felt much better about it, was almost the same. I take the test in less than two weeks. What do I do?

    Cannot improve

    Hi all,

I started studying this summer with like 15-20 hours a week just doing core curriculum, no PT. I was really starting to improve. After I started taking PT, my scores were stuck at a 154. I am not sure if I should redo the complete curriculum because I have time, however, it has been immaculately frustrating as I worked my butt off this summer. I wasn't doing the read review method during my drills, and I'm not sure if that is why. Any suggestions?

Hello, I have been reluctant in requesting my transcript from National Clearing House. When I input the mail address directly from the LSAC website it tells me the address cannot be found.

Has anyone used the email option from National Clearing House and was it accepted? I'm hesitant about the email option since it says it will send my transcript as a link... If you have please include what email you listed it being sent to!

    Thank you!

    venting about the sept lsat

scores come out a week from today and i can't stop stressing about it. i genuinely do not know what to expect which is a little scary because i'm also registered to take the october test and i don't know how much studying i should be doing before i know if i got a score that would be good enough to withdraw from october. how is everyone else feeling? what are you doing to calm nerves in the next week? is anyone else in the same boat with the october test?
