Like Admissions Consulting — But Affordable

With video, diagrams, and honed lessons, our admissions packages walk you through every stage of the application process. You’ll learn to see your work through the eyes of an admissions officer, mastering each challenge just before you tackle it. There’s only one thing missing: a four-figure price tag.

Editing is included in Premium and above.

Editing by an Actual Editor

Many premier law school consultants are former admissions officers, and they know a lot about law school…but not necessarily about writing. Would you hire a restaurant critic to help you cook a fancy meal? You’d be better off hiring a chef. Likewise, you could hire an admissions officer to help you with your essays, but you’d be better off hiring a professional writer and editor.

Every essay at 7Sage is edited by an award-winning writer.

There is a 48-hour turnaround time for a round of revisions.

Premium

Your editor will do one edit of an essay or résumé.

An early draft will get a constructive critique with a road map for revision.

A later draft will get detail-oriented suggestions and a comprehensive critique.

A final draft will get an edit for clarity, conciseness, and style as well as a proofread.

*Note that you’ll get one of the above, not all three.

Ultimate

One essay gets unlimited editing.

Ultimate+

Two essays get unlimited editing.

Help with every stage of the process.

William

I appreciate all the time and effort you’ve put into editing my essays. Not only have you made my overall law school application so much stronger, but I feel like I’ve learned a lot about writing by working with you. Thanks so much for everything.

M.S.

Thank you for your editorial letters!!! They were eye-opening. Although I thought my essay was finished, I felt as though something was missing, and you pointed out exactly what it was.

Joshua

You helped me make the best application possible. Thank you.

George

Thanks so much for your help. You are awesome. I am definitely going to endorse and recommend you to my friends.

Harry

I knew my statement was off, as I honestly didn’t have a proper structure I could follow. I’m starting from scratch again with your ideas, because I really think they provide a good framework.

Barneet

After such a great service you provided with editing my personal statement, I’d also like to submit my diversity statement for you to review.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which package should I buy?

Ultimate+ is the right choice for those who want the best application at any price.

Ultimate is best for those who want a lot of guidance on one essay.

Premium is a more affordable option for those who have already made a good start on a personal or diversity statement.

Admissions Course is an excellent resource for everyone applying to law school.

What’s the editing process like?

If you’re starting from scratch, your editor will help you with every stage of the process, from choosing a topic to proofreading.

If you’ve already done a draft, your editor will address big-picture issues before the finer points, in this order:

  1. Story, argument, and message (the structure)
  2. Use of anecdotes and telling details (the specifics)
  3. Clarity, conciseness, and style (the prose)
  4. Grammar and formatting (the proofread)

Rough essays often need one or two rounds of editing focused solely on the structure. Your editor can sometimes address the content, the prose, and the grammar in a single edit.

You’ll get a letter of critique with a road map for revision, comments in the margin, or direct changes, depending on where your essay is.
