What makes these questions so difficult? And what can we learn from that?

Specifically, what are some of the underlying traits that trip so many of us up? Grammar? Plurarlity of terms? AC order?

How do you improve upon these underlying traits? Marking up the stimulus? Check the conclusions in each AC first?

I have some thoughts on the matter, but I'd like to see what ya'll think.

I just checked both of these out really quick. They do seem quite challenging and untimed I was able to figure them out, but they are extremely wordy and require one to pay attention to details while keeping a bunch of ideas straight. @"Accounts Playable" wrote a great explanation under each of these questions. Definitely check out what he has to say.

In short, they are long and wordy.

How to get better at these types of questions is to be able to see beyond the fluff and find the argument core and the support and find the answer with similar reason. These questions become difficult when you can easily get bogged down in subject matter and having to see the forest and the trees.

I always bracket the conclusion and underline the support for these types of questions and try to pause for a moment to really make sure I understand how the stimulus is laid out from a logical structure.

Also these questions require long answers to shift through and a major time sinks in many cases. So that also adds to their difficulty.

    Just my opinion though :)
