Legal publications to read in spare time?

Hi all,

I've noticed the new LSAT's almost always contain a legal passage (as far as I can see; I haven't done all the PT's in the 70's). Any advice for legal publications that are close to the style of the LSAT for reading in my spare time?

For example, I know Scientific American is the "gold standard" for practicing the type of reading that will come up in the RC science passages. What should I read as a supplement to help with the legal passages?

Lawfare blog is a really good source. It documents the legal battles that shape U.S. law, politics, foreign policy, and culture. It has great reviews from law professors across the country and the contributors are also legal scholars. Keeping up with SCOTUS cases by reading opinions can be good too. Many news major outlets chronicle the cases like the NYT but you can read opinions from the source here https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/opinions.aspx
Perhaps do a google search for more influential recent cases or cases with topics that interest you, then search on the SCOTUS site.

Lawfare blog for sure. Also, there's just ways to google interesting cases that aren't necessarily from known publications. I tend to read more financial stuff and it tends to have a lot of law involved.

I agree with @"nessa.k13.0"! Especially on her point of reading SCOTUS decisions. Not only is it good prep for the LSAT, but as an aspiring appellate attorney, I actually find them enjoyable! Perhaps you might as well!
