Curious if there's any rhyme or reason to the length of time between an application becoming complete and getting a decision? I'm operating under the assumption that admits will hear back soonest, then maybe they wait a little longer to waitlist and even more reject based on more incoming apps. Is that accurate or Is it more mystical and shotgun??

I'd imagine that's the general rule for most schools.
I think I've heard that its the strong admits first, then the sort of obvious rejects mixed with fsirly clear admits, and finally the border line cases like those narrowly admitted, rejected, or waitlisted. Timing of when you submitted your apps can probably matter some too. I don't really know how all of that might very school to school.
