General Games discussion about notating rules

When notating rules in a game, is it advisable to NOT write down the contrapositive, but simply understand how it would work for a particular rule? Or is it best to write down the contrapositive under each given rule?

I noticed that writing down contrapositives for each rule becomes time consuming... and also I noticed JY writes down the contrapositives for some rules and not for others...

Any clarification is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You should be fluent enough in conditional logic to not have to write down any contrapositives for simple conditionals (e.g. A -> B). You can get away with writing down contrapositives for complex conditionals (e.g. A or B -> C) if you struggle with those, but ideally you'd be able to do those in your head as well.

If you find yourself writing lists of contrapositives, you need to drill your conditional reasoning more. But as long as you're actively working toward the larger goal of being fluent in conditionals, there's nothing wrong with writing the odd contrapositive or two to make sure you understand a relationship.
