Fee waiver- thank you?

I just requested and received a fee waiver in an email. Should I send a "thank you" email? What should I say?

You don't need to, I don't think, but it can't hurt to send a quick "Thank you!" in an email.

I think I did for the solicited ones, but only if an actual person replied back. If it was just an automated system kind of thing (like Northwestern) then not necessary. But when I received an email from an admissions person with a code or something, I just sent a quick, "Thank you for the quick response, I look forward to applying." sort of email. Keep it short.
