I tried to find JY’s post about which watches he recommends to no avail.
I’ve read a host of discussions, but still am not sure which one is the best choice and how to use it effectively?

JY recommends the watch with the bezel because it's easier to rotate the bezel at the beginning of every section without any hassle. Basically when the proctor starts the clock for each section, you rotate the bezel to align at the 12 mark.
