The correct answer is B, however I just need some help decoding what it actually means. Could someone please help me out and maybe rephrase that answer in a different way? Thanks!

Ooof. That’s a doozy. The teacher does describe the statement as having been made and recorded by the reporter. But the student is like- “ well it would be the same if the reporter just made it up“
