When I was in the military I took two community college classes basically for fun and did not think about grades. After getting my academic transcript back it brought my overall GPA down a little. Is this a situation that is worth writing an Addendum for?

I think professional terms if you can word of what happened and write addendum on that it would be helpful because law school admissions look at the transcripts and see the discrepencies and get curious. Make sure you take full responsibility though.
I think the answer depends on what you mean by "a little." If the courses brought your GPA down by, say, .01 or .02, then I don't think an addendum would be necessary. If you failed the community college classes then it may be worth writing an addendum, but if you passed them and they were only slightly below your grade average, I don't think an addendum is warranted. I imagine writing an addendum about something negligible could actually bring unneeded negative attention.
