Negation of universal

Hi All,

I had stumbled across a question which it needs to negate an universal statement. Is there a JY lesson on this? If so, it will be great if anyone can share the link.

If not, I had love anyone to talk about how to negate a universal statement.

Hey @"Giant Panda" , I'd love to help but I'm not entirely sure what your question is. I'm also not entirely sure what a universal statement is. Are you referring to an all statement? Something like "All Jedi use the force"

Just think what it means to say not all swans are white. It means not all swans can be white. Means some swan gotta be not-white.

Not (All As) (are Bs)

(Some As) not (are Bs)

The 'not' changes the quantifier and drops through to the rest of the sentence.

It's messy, but I hope it helps you see the mechanics.
