Yoohoo 7Sagers!
My name is Pacaque and @"J.Y. Ping" anointed me the official LSAT predictor. I'm here to make predictions about the November 2018 LSAT. I'm not just any macaque. I'm a Celebes crested macaque and that means I can see into the future. I like to eat a lot of fruits but every once in a while, I'll have some protein too, whatever I can find crawling around. Oh and another thing. I get calls from people in Pennsylvania asking all sorts of intrusive questions about me and my mates. Like what kind of alarms call we give to warn each other of predators and how intimate our babies are with their mothers ???🐵??? This is weird for me. But enough about me.
I know you all are nervous about the upcoming test. I want to give you a hug. And I want to gift you the knowledge of my foresight. Therefore, I predict the following:
curve: -10.6
number of flaw questions on both LR: 7
number of mss questions on both LR: 4
number of sequencing games: 2
number of grouping games: 2
number of total LSAT questions: 101
number of passages on the law: 1
number of questions having something to do with monkeys: at least 1
Woah woah woah, you're thinking. All these specific, precise, and falsifiable predictions? Pacaque, you're really going out on a precarious limb there.
I know! But I'm a monkey. I'm good with limbs. And this way, when PrepTest 86 is released, we can check these predictions and you'll see why Nostradamus can't hold a candle to Paqacue the Prediction Macaque.
And I have one more prediction. I predict that you too have the power to predict the November 2018 LSAT. After all, you've done like what 30+ PrepTests? There's nothing you haven't already seen. You, my furless friend, are set. I invite you to join me in making predictions. If you turn out to be right, we can eat a banana together. 🍌
Comments
Good monkey.
This is the best. My prediction is that we'll have at least one biology passage (and I really, really hope it's a passage about monkeys).
Thanks Pacaque & JY!
What does the curve mean?
I love this. But I predict a -11 curve, judging based on the difficulty of the previous 2018 LSAT's. I also predict a hard science passage that is 5-star. I agree with at least 7 flaw questions total, but maybe 4 per section for a total of 8. Let's see!
Curve is how many you miss to get a 170. So a curve of -11 is a more “forgiving” curve than one of -9. The problem is, the bigger the curve the harder the test!
Those are some bold predictions. Some other company said we'll probably have grouping and sequencing games. I was like, "Really?? No way!" (;
I'm done
I swear... if there's a reading section about monkeys on there, and I bust up laughing in the middle of the test, I'm blaming JY.
LOL I agree with AudaciousRed, it would be awesome though
Great monkey!
If we ignore the 7sage lore, is JY talking to himself here?
If there isn't a law passage about the macaque selfie lawsuit, I'll be upset.
LOL
Here are my predictions:
curve: -12
number of flaw questions on both LR: 6
number of mss questions on both LR: 5
number of sequencing games: 1
number of grouping games: 2
number of total LSAT questions: 100
Oh and I also predict that there will be at least one question that involves sufficiency and necessity!
Here are my predictions:
curve: -12
number of flaw questions on both LR: 7
number of mss questions on both LR: 4
number of sequencing games: 2
number of grouping games: 1
number of total LSAT questions: 101
Hot take: Mapping logic game.
@ChaimtheGreat I've been guessing the same thing, based on not much more than the old intuition. Mapping-like logic game.
please predict the writing prompt thats why we are all here
Which kind of monkeys to showcase at the zoo.
@BinghamtonDave what's a mapping logic game?
If the dinosaur questions don’t outnumber the monkey questions, I’m walking out of that mothafocka
I predict there will be two LR sections, one LG, one RC, an experimental section and .... A writing prompt about... A guy that wants to open a pizzeria and he can't choose between two locations, and the benefits and cons of each location.
I have a feeling that there will be a curve breaker MBT question.
And I also predict someone on this thread will get a 174.
I just got this
I know I won't get anything even close to a 174. But I shall post here for some of that good luck, haha!
I’m going to call an RC passage about CRISPR. It’s overdue.
10 flaw questions.
I want to predict something interesting about LG, but just not feeling it. Maybe a basic pattern game, but nothing too weird.
Cute monkey!
Example of a mapping logic game???
PT 4 Game 4, PT 6 Games 3-4, PT 18 Game 3, PT 9 Game 4, PT 15 Game 2. The virus game from PT 79 (game 4) was arguably a "mapping" game.
Together, by scoring 180 on the LSAT, we shall rise and show these humans that all primates ought to be treated equally.
Go ON With Your Bad Self, Pacaque. Now take your opposable thumbs and print up a completed answer sheet for PT 86 by 10pm tonight and post it here.
I hope you're talking about yourself because, if so, that confidence is a big MOOD.
curve: -12.0
number of flaw questions on both LR: 8
number of mss questions on both LR: 4
number of sequencing games: 2
number of grouping games: 1
number of total LSAT questions: 102
RC Passages: 1 Law, 2 Humanities, 1 Hard Science
number of questions having something to do with monkeys: 100.
Hot take: Pattern Game modeled on the Monkeys on the Bed nursery rhyme.
OMG what is this LOL
yes! what's a mapping logic game? @BinghamtonDave
So Mapping is generally a sub-sect of linear or grouping games that adds the element of space. The Virus game from 2016 is kinda an example of linear mapping. June 1995 Game 2 is like a prime example of a mapping game. I am not sure 7Sage uses the "mapping terminology" but I didn't know how else to describe it. Mapping games utilize space as part of the game. In all reality there will not be a mapping game. I didn't mean to cause a stir, I was just trying to find a hot take lol.
(There have only been like 5 mapping games ever and only one since 1997.)
@ChaimtheGreat I just did 2 of them. Better safe than sorry?
Kinda reminds me of PT66 LR1 Q2 about Jocko the gorilla and his bananas.
Nope, I’m not taking the test
@"pacaque the prediction macaque" Would you be doing predictions for International LSATS? For example the Jan 2019 one?
This is the laugh we all needed tonight! ?
Damnit, JY. You and your monkeys. Of course there would be monkeys...
I actually had to suppress a laugh when the bonobos monkey question came up
I struggled. Open it to the first page, and Bam! Monkeys.
Lol the monkey question prediction was dead on. Pacaque is a legend now
well well well !!! Bonobos eh ? right on LOL
My first LR question was about monkeys!!
Hahhaha! Only took the first question to make predictions come true xD
no, it is either from 63 or 64. It would be very sad if I got it right....#facepalm
The results are in.
And you, @"pacaque the prediction macaque", you did about as well as a monkey would.
Despite everyone's early congratulations on your predicting the "monkey question," I'm not giving you a banana for that one. Repeat after me, "I, a macaque, am a monkey. Chimps, bonobos, and J.Y. Ping are hominids." But you already knew that didn't you? Sneaky little monkey.
Here are the salient results:
curve: -10
