Their binding ED isn't even closed until Dec 1, priority Reg D is April 1, so you have plenty of time, according to their website:

Hey! I'm also in Berkeley and also planning on testing in August!! I went to Cal so tons of libraries there to study group at! Right now I'm testing mid-150s and aiming for a 170. Please hit me up! I really look forward to this!
It just means you have to accept ASU's offer if they accept you. You are bound and cannot go anywhere else. Binding usually helps a little if you are below the means.
Your acceptance/deposit is not a binding commitment to attend. You are free to pull out but just typically lose the deposit. Usually recommended you don't hold out banking on a WL pull.
Read the fine script comment because it depends on the school. Most of them allow you to do this but some stipulate that if you deposit with them they consider that to be binding.
IDK much about admissions but does UC Berkeley average scores or take highest? Maybe you could get in with a 171. Would you get burnt out if you took it again? Would you want to take it again regardless if that meant more scholarship funds?
