Sorry to hear about this - I would be frustrated too. You can go ahead and file the complaint, but don't expect anything more than LSAC giving you the option to cancel your test score.

No it won't hurt you. You have a score already. Whether that score ends up as your highest scoreor lowest score means only that you have no place to go but up. Stop worrying, go meditate or something and then do your best on Saturday. Good luck!

I was also placed on hold at one of the schools I applied to, but in my case there is no additional information or new score for them to wait for. I'm going to submit a letter of continued interest.

Another way to go is just never cancel and then write an addendum and all will be forgiven. I'm way too curious a person to ever cancelor take an undisclosed test.

No, don't feel depressed. While LORs are important, they don't hold the same value as let's say your PS or LSAT score. There is absolutely no other professor you can ask?
